Oh, I just mean ANY flaws. No deal breakers, just regular human flaws.
I guess what I'm asking is if a Cancer has a longtime attraction to someone and more-or-less idolizes that person, would finding out their human side kill the attraction or make it stronger?

Then again, I don't idolize anyone. Discovering the person's human side definitely makes the attraction much stronger. I've never really been the type of person to admire someone in a romantic sense from afar. I need to get to know them before I'm really attracted to them.

Nope, were one of the most understanding signs in the zodiac, which is why just about all signs have at least 1 cancer friend.
If I notice a flaw, it won't necessarily turn me off. Personality and a genuine affection for that person would keep me interested.
I have a ton of Cancer friends and one ex-boyfriend ...it's one of the signs I'm most compatible with. The ex-boyfriend was someone who had a crush on me for a while ... after getting to know him for months (and after I broke up with the guy I was dating at the time) we finally got together. The honeymoon period for the first 6 months was great and then it all went downhill from there ...where we once had a crazy-active sex life and couldn't keep our hands off each other, he developed a strong aversion to sex. I always wondered what happened there, as we never had any fights or anything really obvious ...we were compatible, we had a lot of fun together and nothing significant really happened that I can pinpoint.
So I sometimes wonder whether it was because he had a thing for me for so long and when the relationship became real, the fantasy was lost and therefore so was his interest?
When I finally ended it with him he said he couldn't explain why he lost his desire for physical intimacy, and still loved me and found me attractive, and wanted to try and work it out. But, we ended up going our separate ways.
He got back in touch with me recently which led me to think a lot about our relationship and wonder why it went downhill...

I am a bit peculiar and as much as I've tried to control this, the smallest or faintest UNEXPECTED flaw, will turn me off. Once I'm turned off, I start to analyze and when I analyze, it's bound to just go one way from there. Down. I hate this about myself!!! I live in a romantic fantasy world that are built on ideas no one will ever be ably to live up to. Should probably look into therapy..
Hmmm, maybe this is what happened with my ex Crab. Maybe there was an *unexpected* flaw about me, even after knowing me for months, that made him go cold.
Also, your avatar looks DELICIOUS, but make mine tartar sauce instead of mayo........

Let's say a Cancer is super attracted to someone that they only know superficially. Are they more or less likely to genuinely fall in love with that person after getting to know them much better ... flaws and all ... or would that wreck the fantasy and ruin the attraction?
Inquiring minds wanna know! 🙂
