Cancers during Mercury Retrogrades

The retrograde is quickly approaching us, and I know we are currently in the shadow phase....but my anxiety and emotions are currently through the roof more than usual. I am trying not to do or say anything irrational, or have any serious conversations about things til after it all ends. Has anyone else been feeling like this?

The shadow phase started July 24th I think.

Usually I'm better expressing myself during the retrograde, but I hate the shadow phases. I don't have mercury retrograde in my chart though. I has a lot of issues with lost mail since the shadow phase started.

I feel as if this is the time I should express myself; but I'm afraid it'll backfire on me depending on what is said. The overthinker in me is in full force.
