Its just natural.. i think it's more of them not being sure. And also a mixture of testing to see if you'll make any moves or not.
I act weird when i like someone. I don't want to seem too desperate when I'm into someone. So I'll give the person all the attention I have built up inside of me, and then when I feel I'm getting too attached or that I may freak the person out, I back away.
