Curiosity: Cancer sun with venus in gemini

Can you guys talk a little bit about yourselves?, I became curious about the bad rep this placement has around DXP... missgemni mentioned and I noticed in some other threads... is like this placement completely overrides typical cancer characteristics...

What do you want to know specifically?
And no, I'm not one who cheats or strays when in a relationship, so let's get that out of the way.

Not on regards of cheating really... I don't think cancer will cheat (unless they get cheated first), more likely is curiosity about the bad reputation they get here on regards of easy detachment of people, cold (really cold not cancer pretending to be) moving from people to people like no problem... ungratefulness and rudeness... that sort of thing people talk about.

Yeah you hit the nail on that last one, I've also read about being super self-center (but also cancers can be) and egocentric

Gem/cancer cusp with venus in gem...was in a long term relationship with a pisces sun/moon with cap in venus. I never cheated, but he did. With him I had no desire to cheat with someone else...the behavioral traits stated on some of these boards leads one to suggest venus in gem folks are all one and the same...trust WE are not all alike.

Hmmm...well this is me actually (cancer sun Venus Gemini) and I for one love love hugs. My lady friends also love giving me one. I also haven't had a serious relationship in about 4 years (divorce-not for cheating but for other reasons) but I have been wanting to get back in the market. I have had a few flings though. I'm a bit of a sapiosexual; unintelligent women are a huge turnoff as I love stimulating conversations.

I'm nothing like that guy you're talking about above though, it's probably my Mars cancer but apparently my personality/presence is more...noticeable, aggressive even. I've noticed that even when I try to minimize myself to let others be in the limelight I'm still the one people look to for leadership, and I'm still intimidating enough that people will be automatically be deferential or polite whether I said anything or not. It is very hard for me to enter a room without being noticed, and there are times I would prefer to not be. I have my mood swings but more the kind where I disappear for a day or three to recharge: I'm an introvert. I'm also a natural jungle-gym and mentor to kids; I'm a counselor and I love teaching. I also can cook...if I'm in the mood.

My urge to travel...is huge, I haven't lived near home/family since 2006, which is abnormal for cancers. I even do not call my mother except perhaps once or twice a month and we're still close.

I'm also hugely attracted to Gemini women; I actually prefer their anything-goes personality. I'm also an adrenaline junky.

I would say in regards to relationships that if I don't have that mental connection, things will not go beyond friendship.

I don't have the cat lady label of "clingy", so if that comes off as cold/rude/whatever, so be it. That's more of the other person's problem.

From personal experience that label of clingyness that cancer gets is a hoax... they might be clingy to the memories but not to people...

+ million. seriously , its a dealbreaker for me with women.

also i will like to add:

i m very much into reading , arts and movies. also very curious about other cultures and foreign languages , i m learning one right now. living away from home in a beautiful country for now but very easy for me to make friends , because i believe i m a global person generally. i can connect with anyone.

I've love talking, going on adventures with friends, laughing my face off, bored? bust out the wigs, food mmm food and helping others are my favorite things. Nope never cheated. If there was someone else I catching my eye I would analyze it to see why is that person so special? Then realize it was a new shiny car crush and stay with my man. I have been cheated on and it sucks. I never want to do that to someone I care about. I will break up with them if there's issues.

so far so good... but people keep seeing this as a tricky placement... and since everybody is concern is about cheating.

And the only one i know with this placement... "technically didn't cheat" by it did... is complicated... but i guess that rep is more based on the gemini placement... almost all geminis in my life (which surprisingly are a big number) have cheat on someone.

I'm a Cancer Sun/Gemini Venus, but in relationships I behave like a Cancer, for the most part. I do think my Venus is why I fall so hard and fast, but my Sun is why it's hard for me to let go. I'm fiercely loyal, and I don't need variety or go from relationship to relationship. Like any Cancer, I want/need security. Although I do like and bring fun and playfulness to my relationships, which is a trait of Gemini Venus'.

I can talk with people and have stimulating convos but I m not emotionally invested in people. I feel like being with myself is good company enough. So I don't really need people to fill that space. It might come off as being detached but that's me.

Anyone with this placement here , who feels the same? Or I m kinda weird ;p

I agree 100% ...I'm like that as well, and aside from the cancer sun and gemini venus, I also have leo moon. I can detach easily, and become quite cold if I need to retreat to recharge, or just simply lose interest. I don't talk to friends or family everyday either...sometimes for weeks, and I haven't lived close to home/family in 13 yrs. I'm turned off by unintelligent guys...very sapiosexaual. I can't deal with clingy and controlling people either. I LOVE to socialize, and entertain/host, but I'm not a cheater once in a healthy, stable, and ESTABLISHED relationship. No grey areas though, if there's no clear and established relationship...as far as I'm concerned I'm single.

You do have a lot of Cancer placements though so that makes sense...especially with your moon and mars also being Cancer. I have a Cancer sun and Mercury...so I'm only like a Cancer on the surface...in relationships I'm less attached, but still aware and present. I need variety and stimulation, but still if I'm in a relationship I'm loyal.
