Advice on clearing the air
I am finding this difficult as I don't know who started the rumour and what exactly has been said. I would prefer to discuss the matter with him but am not sure the best way to approach it without scaring him off.

I need some advice on the best way to deal with this situation. I got together with my cap last year. At the beginning of this year someone spread lies about me. My cap stopped talking to me but slowly has started to come around again and we now talk each time we meet. I would like to clear the air as the rumours are untrue but do I wait until he mentions it or do I bring up the subject with him?
