Aquarius going for Cappy friendship

There's this cappy guy in my class who seems to have caught my attention based on similar interest and the fact that he sort of sticks out like a sore thumb. He an artist who constantly wears a beanie to hide his long hair, wears a black hoody sweater most of the time and wears black jeans. There's this vibe that made me curious to get to know him. We talked a few times about art and video games, but after that he sort of acts very uncomfortable. I have to admit, I am VERY quirky and eccentric to the point of weirding people out in way. My close libra and cancer friends tell me that my eye to eye stares are the type to look deep into someone's soul, so I'd assume that usually makes people uncomfortable. Through my observations, he seems to be pretty easy going when talking to random people in the class, but when I'm near he looks sort of hesitant, tense, annoyed? (can't tell, he just looks away uncomfortably). Recently, there's this one time in the computer lab where he was hesitant to ask for help (I knew he was stuck) so I suggested a solution only after waiting and giving that infamous Aqua stare. (couldn't help it, was curious how long it would take for him to figure it out)
His birthday is in January 18, so there could be Cappy-Aqua traits in him as well.
So questions to cappys: what kinda Aqua friends do you guys mostly go for? Are you guys fine with eccentricity qualities or do you find that disturbing?

I like all types of aquas because they are who they are - they think for themselves and don't just jump on the popular bandwagon. They are their own people. They're not fake either. And so nice and helpful and lets not forget the humor!
you should "get" aqua energy. 😛
a tip for getting a caps attention. be real from the start. if you want him as a friend, then stick to that. if you have a crush on him and you don't see him as "just a friend" then stick to that.
