thanks cap girl. i figured it was probably a mix of 1 and 2, can't be 3 because we now live 6 hours apart. i didn't think the appearing was so weird so much as the quantity of the contact. he probably wrote me more over that week than he did the whole time we knew each other. i always find such randomly inconsistent behavior so bizarre.
