Capricorn woman can be a mess..

The irony of things-my bf is(was?) a Capricorn(he dissapeared after i didnt slept with him ,me asking for more time..
Anyway,the irony is -my brother gf is a Capricorn,they are living together for 1 year and half(they are just brokeing up now)-she is a mess,depressed and she wanted to return to her home,which she did it in the end,few days ago.
She doesnt have any dignity at all(she told my brother she went in other country to her former boyfriend,several times,when they were an item).
Why she did that,since they broke up?why she need it to say so bluntly to his face(they were separated in very amiable terms).She was like running after 2 rabbits and didnt catch any of them..
My brother is a Cancer and i can see he is so upset about hearing this..
What can i say to my brother to cheer him up a bit..not nice situation..
