And by "chickeny", I mean K-0-C-K-Y, like a K-0-C-K. 😛
lol. Earth signs are generally like that. Astrology books have it all wrong. Earth signs are confident in their own way, extremely philosophical, SARCASTIC YES!, and many other things.. Oh joy.
Self-conscious but equally quietly confident I think best describes capricorn but I have never met a "in your face" cap. Initially reserved rather than shy!!
YOU HAVE MET ONE NOW !
OH GOD YES AND DONT WE KNOW THAT JT!!!!! F.ckin hell!!!
That's all I have got to say on that!!
we usually aren't the "in your face" kind of people...only when we know we have the upper hand or the stage. right JT?
that's a compliment, buddy. i'm a cap, too. i take my moments in the spotlight, believe me, but i'm also very shy about some things too. i guess we might be the wolf in sheep's clothing, so to speak. hee, hee.
lol, that's a good way to put it. Or perhaps you're the sheep in wolf's clothing!
Anyway, I haven't ever met a Capricorn that truly annoys me - I think maybe they're more outgoing in front of me because I fuel it by laughing at their jokes, etc (which, as I mentioned, are usually QUITE funny).
Caps are not in-your-face in a Leo sense, it's more like they take over and control conversations and become the life of "the party" effortlessly, just because they're so interesting and people find themselves drawn to them because they bring something unusual, but not offputting or scary to the scene. lol...
By the way, if I had to choose one sign to handle my finances, it would be Capricorn. They're talented with money and they seem to grasp numbers and math-related stuff very well. Or, at least the ones I know.
Also when I have children, if I ever need a babysitter, I would probably choose either a Cancer or a Capricorn to watch them. Cancers have that warm, sweet motherly way about them and Caps have that protective, fatherly way about them. Mary Poppins (the character, not Julie Andrews) reminds me of Capricorn. 😛
Jimmy is going through a bad time he is most of the time quite around straingers, in his own crowed he is outgoing and used to be fun. he fells the fool right now.
I always thought Mary Poppins was a typical Sag.
Let?s hope our good friend JT returns to his normal cynical adorable self soon. Guess he doesn?t get a lot of baby-sitter requests these days?
I know, poor James.
James, Smokey Robinson said it the best: "everybody plays the fool, sometimes; there's no exception to the rule".
I do not give a big rats ass, I will call you on the 2nd of Feb. When I get back to England.
woo o.o i'm a cap...and i'd like to think i'm not shy oO; and i'm sure as hell not serious a lot of the times...

You know, I've never in my life known a shy Capricorn. Every Capricorn I've ever known has been very bold, usually very funny, they tend to dominate a conversation but in a funny way. Some of the Caps I know are outright LOUD screwballs (I say that affectionately). Capricorns always come across to me as extremely self-assured, even chickeny sometimes, unaffected by what any of their critics might have to say, sarcastic, and outgoing. But all my astrology books mention "shy" over and over again...perhaps they just put up a convincing front. Or they have conflicting planets in their charts.
There's this guy I'm friends/acquaintances with who works in the same building I do, and he's a Capricorn...and I am by far more shy than he is. We hadn't seen each other for eight years, and the other day BAM there we both are, having a cigarette before we each had to go to work, and he just immediately starts talking to me, as bold as can be. I think it's a very cool trait, it's just that astrology books never seem to describe them this way.
