confused about a capricorn

I was dating this guy for a little over 2 months. We were best friends and hung out almost every day. He wasn't very affectionate and that sometimes bothered me. A couple of weeks ago, I could tell he was thinking of someone else. We had a big talk and he said he wants to be with our friend. (He's known her longer than he's known me but I have known her longer than he has). They are dating now and he and I are still best friends and we still hang out all the time. I don't really hang out with her anymore. I'm uncomfortable with her because she seems to be rubbing it in my face that he is with her and not me. A few days ago, he and I were hanging out and his friend told me that the night before she had been getting on my ex's nerves. He has been extremely affectionate with me, calling me all the time and not leaving my side when we're together. He told me the other night that he had been thinking about me all day. Could it be that he is thinking he made a mistake and that he wants me back?

Why would you want this guy back? He broke your heart once and left you for a friend. I don't understand the appeal of the guy from your post and all I see is that you don't want to look anymore for a good guy who will realize that you are special.

Before you go hoping and dreaming and letting this guy get to you... think long and hard. He probably is wondering if he could win you back, but that doesn't mean he should. He left you once, so what's stopping him from winning you back then dumping you again?
