Had a bad day...

Made a mistake last week and almost got fired for it today. This was on top of my boss questioning my billing last week as well... he thinks I lost him money, but I padded the contract, I lost us nothing. I don't think he liked it when I told him that my way was more efficient and we were over charging though (I'm at a non-profit institution). It was a combination of money and reputation of where I'm working - I was told I'm on thin ice. We're being scrutinized by the powers that be do to a restructuring, so I ended up in the firing zone so to speak. Was told my mistake suggested I'm incompetent (after 6 yrs) and if I want to get another job he (my boss) didn't care.

My Virgo took me in his arms the moment he saw me and gave me a big hug though... not caring who was around 🙂

we'll there was last week's confusion as well... but, it wasn't to his liking despite my argument to the fact we weren't loosing anything. And, we had to amend a contract recently as well, I'll admit I'm at fault on some level, I didn't tell the person doing the contract of a change - I just thought she was in the loop as I've never had to tell her of changes before because she and the boss always discuss it due to its substantial size and the fact we've been doing it for 20 yrs (I've been frustrated about someone else doing this particular contract all along as I have complete control over other contracts - she just asked for a $ $ amount, how was I to know they hadn't discussed it). Communication in my office is not what it should be!

LS: Thanks for the video... I loved the guy who threw his monitor over the other cubicle, looked at some guy walking by, looked at his (non-existent monitor) wrote something down and looked back a the guy... just classic! The one where they guy gave him back his laptop was funny too!!

I think the worst part about it all though was my boss saying that if I want to get another job, he doesn't care. That implies to me I am no longer valued, or wanted for that matter.

I was very touched by My Virgo though... every time I talked to him today he was, "are you ok?" "is everything still ok at work" etc., and he wanted me to tell him about it at the end of the day, even the boring details, and he was supportive and he was there for me... when I needed him (and I never need him) and I didn't have to tell him I needed him, he was just there for me.

Yeah, when my boss confronted me I couldn't say a word, I just teared up and wanted to throw up the rest of the afternoon.

i have a gemini moon!!! lildol dont give up! your awesome. and a hard worker. you have value. im glad your virgo is supporting you. your boss is being a douche for some small detail and not seeing the bigger picture we caps can easily see. one bump in the road wont stop us, we get past it. if it can be fixed it will get fixed. some people dont get it. im sorry this happened though. its tough when people tell you your crap and they dont need you anymore. im sure if they lose you they will suffer. possibly want you back. then you can give them the finger lol. i hope things work out lildoll. us gemini mooners adapt quickly to anything.

douche boss cant handle pressure from corporate. caps are all about calculated risks. Way ta make an executive decision Lildol🙂Shows not incompetence....but independence and self-sufficiency.
