Harnessing my Capricorn Mars

Hi All! This is my first time on the cap board! I am a pisces with a scorpio BF whom I like to study, so those are the boards I generally lurk.

Anyways!

I recently had to borrow money from my father for the first time because I am in the middle of taking on a new job, and its making me feel sort of awful. I don't like relying on others. I don't like asking for help. And on top of it, and unrelated, I guess, him and (sometimes) my mother (they are not together) treat me like a child still.

I don't like it! :p I know I am still young, but I have a toddler son myself, and would really like to find my own success. I want to feel like an adult, and show others that I can hold my own.

I have Capricorn in both Mars and Saturn, and though my heavy pisces placements may make me look a bit lost sometimes, I really am a determined and strong person with a will to succeed on my own, which I do think may come from the Capricorn placements.

My question is, what advice do you wonderful & wise capricorns have for me in terms of being my own person, commanding respect, and standing on my own? Should I not be so reluctant to ask for help? Or, how can I use my Capricorn will to push me where I need to be? Where I will feel safe, secure and successful?
