How Caps deal with Aquas?

An Aqua and I are cordial. I thought everything was fine. I texted him saying that I missed him and he never responded. A text before then when I was trying to communicate with him he dropped out of the conversation and never responded. As a cap how have you responded to something like this and when someone does that do u cut them completely off and never say anything to them when you see them?

Aquas usually don't like mushy things especially in the early stages. Better just ignore it and keep the conversations normal. Be subtle and not over the top, they get everything.
