Where did love go, when all is said and done!
Cap women, where ya all?
"This is a courtesy call for old times sake and nothing else" - Is this what you intend to say to her if she initiates talking about anything beyond you wishing her a happy birthday?

It would of course be very lame to tell that out openly. But I just wanted to let her know things are alright between us and we can move on in life peacefully... like a full stop. Not sure if you are able to relate....

I don’t get the point of the call unless you want to be back in contact with her.
It's more like making peace with the past

I think the wording you used here is great and might be worth saying if the conversation feels awkward or she seems confused. I definitely relate to wanting peace for both parties moving forward.
I thin it's sweet and will be appreciated.
I like knowing that all is well.

Thank you... it won't be awkard for sure, we have known each other for almost 5 years, so I know her in and out...

I hope so, cuz she is quick to anger and has a bad temper... don't want my peacemaking call to end up as another drama.

Ok, we had a nasty drama about 5 months back involving a mutual friend who backstabbed me to create a bad impression in front of my ex, and she fell for it. So I decided to move on with my life, and so did she.
Fast forward 5 months...
Now she's asked a mutual friend to help her get in touch with me, but No way - enough drama for me! However, I still have some soft spot for her, so I decided to just give a courtesy call (and nothing more) on her birthday early next year... just for old times sake and nothing else.
As a Cap, How do you think she will react? Is it alright if I do that?
