The Corn Field Theory suggests that some problems have a single solution and trying to explore alternatives can lead to confusion or trap you. It emphasizes focusing on the primary path to resolution instead of overcomplicating the process. Understanding this can help you stay focused and resolve issues efficiently.
sure name one.

Well one would be an actual corn field. But an example would be an obsessive lover whom if you don't do anything about, the corn field will get to you. In this case the lover. So yes, you can get so far into the love before you have to go through with the problem or let the problem get you. There's options at the beginning, but not many after so long.
And here's some nice corn fields.

caps.there isn't only "one way" to do something π
Not unless the children of the corn were in there. So, yeah. But I understand what you're getting at. But since some people aren't good at keeping track of where they came from, they'll get lost in time and would just have to straight up zipline through the cornfield and make it to end. And at the end of the cornfield maybe a road, more corn, or a forest. But worth it π

I imagine a cap wouldn't touch a cornfield until he was well prepared with one of these....
Correct. What's corn going for per bushel these days? LOL

on a serious note, I'm in the Midwest and am surrounded by cornfields. when the sun goes down....those fields can be downright spooky!
I used to visit my dad and he owned a cornfield. So I'm used to getting lost in them. And Children of the corn at the time made it worse.

I decided I wanted to make one. A corn field theory is something that- If you get into it you can only go forward until you reach the other side, if you try to look for alternatives you'll make the problem worse or you'll just get lost. In other words- A problem with one solution and if you don't resolve it you'll be stuck in the corn field forever. Anyone think this sound legit?
I looked up online the cornfield theory and all I found was the song by false awakening. So do you like that band? And it's an interesting concept, did you just come up with it? If so, you're wise beyond your years. If paris hilton can patent the that's hot comment, you should own and patent the cornfield theory π.

I didn't know that was a song and I haven't heard of the band. Yeah I came up with it myself when I happened to be eating corn and then thought of cornfields came to mind. And I decided I'd compare problems in real life to that of a cornfield. Of course my theory does need some tweaking though. Thanks though π

That's cool though, its amazing how even the most mundane things can inspire new thoughts and ideas. I know I've had certain songs stuck in my head sometimes, and didn't know why. Then I realized that a certain object, I seen prior to that must have made me think of the song, and somebody or an experience I forgot about. It's weird how our subconscious works.

The cornfield theory is starting to sound like my dxpnet experience. I know I'm not the first and probably won't be the last. Men and women alike have visited the House Of The Rising Sun with similar tales.

Very interesting topic. I always move into things by seeing ten steps ahead with contingency plans and I also have a keen sense of direction if needed, but my Aries moon gives me little patience for messes and I just obliterate it and build a better cornfield of my choosing and design.
You know, screw the cornfield. A vineyard would be better. More pleasing aesthetically, taste better, and you can make wine. That makes me happy and works. :-P
