Trustworthy?

Yes, trustworhy is a Capricorn trait and I take it seriously. How many of yall get told secrets you would rather NOT know?

I am dumped with this responsibility of keeping secrets. BUT, those secrets would devasate my other friends. For instance, booty calls. Some of them involve the same guy and I'm sworn to secrecy by two female parties. I uphold that trust, but it eats me up!!!!

I tell the girls DON'T TRUST HIM! HE IS A BIG TIME PLAYER!!!!!!!!

Since I'm sworn, I don't tell all. I HATE THIS!!!!!!

What would yall do?

Well, knowing people will get hurt is not entertaining.

i see your point though, id be torn with just spilling to them exactly why.

yea, you've done the right thing warning them but staying out of the thick of it.

maybe just reiterate to them... "you've trusted me with your secret... please trust me with my good advice."

it's really on them.

i get told a lot of personal stuff as well. i just hold my tongue about other people's business. the only place where people have done this stuff, sharing secrets that in some way have something to do with other people we both know and vice versa is at work. ah gahd... in other words... drama! i stay out of that crap. the more you stay out of gossip and drama at work, the smarter you are i say. some people try to pull a political scam out of that kind of crap and it makes me want to vomit. vomit i tell you!!!

if you are really close to me however and you are doing something that could harm yourself... it would be really hard for me to keep a vow that would prevent me from doing what i think is best. I might actually be upfront about that. I try not to make promises I cant keep.

I don't think they would get into a dramatic fight with each other if they found out. I would really like to see them confront the user together!

He was at friend #1's birthday party with her and hit up friend #2 and is now hooking up with both of them. What a jerk!!!

Well, the guy (Aqua) fessed up and came clean with them. So they know. The Cancer dumped him; the Libra is still seeing him. I did tell the Libra now she knows his true colors and not to come whining to me when she gets tired of it.

Thanks for everyone's advice and for letting me vent!

I think what tore me up on this one is the pull between trustworthiness and loyalty.

One of those girls (Cancer) I have been friends with for 15 years and we have totally been there through a whole bunch of stuff together. We have always leaned on each other. My loyalty to her was pulling. (Was leaning toward risking the other friendship for this one). Very rare to find a friend as good as her.

The other girl (Libra) I have known for about 5 years and we haven't been through the roller coaster of life together and although I like her, I do not feel the same loyalty toward her. But, I kept my word and was told something in confidence. And I have integrity.

Luckily, the guy fessed up on his own and I didn't have to do anything. It was only about a 2 days that I knew. JERK!!!!!!
