What is wrong with this Cappy guy?

I'm a Virgo female (Capricorn moon) in college, the 'situation' starts from 2 years ago. I worked with this Capricorn guy (Pisces moon) as a lab partner for one of my freshman labs. The semester started out rocky but we got better at working together as the semester progressed and I fell for him. He seemed to give me a lot of mixed signals, getting really close, random touching, regular drunk texting, etc. At the end of the semester, I told him how I felt, gave him a month to think about it all before I pressed for an answer. He turned me down but specifically insisted that we stay friends and I tried but he didn't act much like a friend either. He would stare at me all the time (every time we were in the same room) for the next year and half but wouldn't really say anything. We had some ups and downs during that time, mainly misunderstandings. There was always a kind of hypersensitivity between us, we didn't really need to talk directly to communicate but I got tired of it and started ignoring him. The longer I ignored him, the more frantic he got about getting my attention, even resorting to dirty texting when we hadn't even spoken for the whole month before (he apologized at least 10 times after, when he realized I hadn't taken it as jokingly as he had thought and was actually quite angry). When I continued to ignore him, he tried to do it right back but it wasn't very convincing since he tried to impress me by loudly telling someone around me about his latest perfect score every time I came around. The real change I saw in his demeanor was when I was standing with a friend, who was talking to him and he noticed the ring I'd recently started wearing on my left hand's ring finger. He stared at it for a good 2 mins and gave me a very confused and angry look before storming off. Now he's outwardly cold towards me and definitely angry but still stares at me pretty often when we're in the same room.

What is even this guy's problem? I gave him a chance, I even took the first step and he turned me down so what's with all the drama? What's going on with him, do you, fellow Capricorns, think?

I think sometimes its better to ignore the "looks" and just go by them ...because, our perception of what we see is not always absolute and we never know the other person so thoroughly to assume things about their looks, demeanour. YES we do perceive stuff, but it can never be a 100% true perception..

Take his words and actions as they are more reliable.

And Caps are clear(usually) ..go out of their way to make things clear if they are seriously into you. It's been a year after all ..

I think regardless of what you might've posted before, he still doesn't make sense. He clearly acts somewhat possessive, as if you were his, because of his disappointment and wanting to ignore you after he saw the ring. This shows that in his mind in some small way part of him was considering something with you. But it's completely his fault for not taking the chances you gave him, and waiting. Doesn't matter what he thinks because you were honest and sincere, and he wasn't real with you. I can't say something is wrong with him, because I don't know him, but this whole situation was definitely handled wrongly on his part. He missed out and now he knows it. And you my dear, don't need to feel badly about it at all.

If she is ever going to talk to me again, and if there is any probability that i will reply to her, that will be f*ck off. I know she is never going to understand me. I think caps are living in their own world and not going to break the shell in any possible or impossible way.

Yup, that's the same Cap I was talking about ages ago but back then, it was all about how I perceived things, which can't be 100% right, if at all. I get that, but since then, he's done other things that are definitely odd and attention seeking. My issue back then was that I thought he liked me but the things I was going off of were pretty trivial. After a while of whatever was going on, I assumed that if I was perceiving things the right way, he didn't actually like me but liked the attention I gave him and wanted to keep that. If I wasn't perceiving things the right way, I was probably just seeing things, in which case, it shouldn't have made a difference to him when I started ignoring him. When I did though, he seemed to get more frantic for my attention. Let's exclude some of the subtle moves I saw, but dirty texting without having any pretense? Following me and hiding when I turned around? The ring incident? His attitude changed completely after he saw the ring and it just happens to be on my wedding finger. Frankly, the ring has no special significance, it just gets in my way on my right hand and fits best on my ring finger but the connotations could easily be that I'm seeing someone else.

The Taurus guy is someone else. I liked this Cappy guy a few years ago and it didn't go well. The stories are different but they definitely have a lot of similarities but rest assured that these are two different guys I'm talking about. Unfortunately, they were both my lab partners at some point. I had general chem lab with the Cappy guy but the Taurus was my research lab partner.

I'm not interested in the Cappy but his oddly cold behavior is raising some eyebrows from people around us and I'm not sure what's going on with him. I assumed he was just playing with me because he wanted my attention but then he probably shouldn't take it so hard when he loses it, especially to another guy (the Taurus, of course, who I'm currently interested in), but he seems to have and I don't understand why.

I'd say he may like you, but is not interested in being in a relationship with you. Seems he just wants to live the college life for now, without commitment. Just because a person likes someone, doesn't mean they necessarily want to be in a relationship with them.

Technically, both of you are saying the same thing with different connotations. _'s version is just that he doesn't have the guts to tell me he likes me and he needs to man up. Your version is that he likes me but doesn't want a commitment of any sort so he wants my attention to keep up his fantasy that I'm hopelessly in love with him and he can basically have me act in whatever he likes in his mind. I actually get the idea, I have a kind of overactive and similar imagination, though I don't dwell on it.

I've known Cappy guys who like to keep women interested in them just to unintentionally (maybe) play with their mind. My theory for what happened is that's what his cap sun was doing initially when I actually did give him some attention. Then I started ignoring him and his Cap sun again tried to get the attention back. Then he saw my ring, and suspected or assumed that I'm involved with someone else and that bothered him, leading him to realize that maybe he has more of an emotional involvement in this drama than he initially thought so he's freaked out and/or angry (idk at me or at himself) about it and is trying to not get so attached but still trying to reel me in or something. Does that sound likely?

I missed the pisces moon...yes could be the difference maker. Pisces love their dreams and would rather be there than live their reality. There could be qualities about you that he likes, but he doesn't see the need of moving on them.

Yup, I'm ignoring him at the moment anyway.

It's actually not going so well with him. He replies to work stuff and general stuff but won't say a word about my confession. You know how I said that he seemed very formal and cold after I changed his nickname to his real name? So, I changed it back to his nickname to see how he would react and he's back to normal again, friendly and informal. I have no idea what to make of that. He has a Pisces moon as well though so I'm starting to think that maybe he just doesn't want to outright reject me so I wouldn't feel bad. I really have no idea.

Lol, the Taurus I'm talking about has a Gemini Venus as well and is basically a genius. He's done something similar, he'll start texting me about something that isn't working and how he has no idea what to do but I didn't have any great answers for him since I knew 20% of what he knew about the project at the time.
