alright so i just heard about this dude alex being shot by ice. sorry i’m a few days late. i’m in japan so there’s like a time lag.

i watched the liberal take on it as well as the conservative take on it. and there seems to be numerous analysis regarding positioning, timing etc

i watched the video in slow motion and here’s my amateur take on it :

-nine times is way too much. unnecessary.

-miscommunication between agents played a huge role in the unfortunate outcome

-grey shirt should have alerted other ice agents right away that alex had been disarmed. wtf was he doing just casually walking away after he took the gun from alex?

-alex was pepper sprayed before he was on the ground so he couldn’t see properly.

-alex seemingly made a gesture that made ice agent think he was gonna reach for the gun in his side pocket but i don’t know for sure if that was what he was really doing.

I’m not sure why the ICE agents shoved the woman. I do not know if she was antagonizing them or what. But Alex got involved and pushed an ICE agent, which is considered assault on a federal LEO.

From there, it escalated and they were trying to detain him. The one ICE agent took his gun away. It’s unclear to me if the gun went off because of the type of gun it was. But some reports are saying it did and that is when they executed him.

They then looked for the gun immediately after he was killed, which makes that report seem plausible. click to expand
