welp, nobody is willing to sit down there. What are they standing up for if not their own responsibility of the death of him.. I don't know what speech Charlie Kirk mostly talk about and it seems I need to actually live in the U.S. to find out the reasons why. I am lucky enough to stay in a country where people are so based here but since my economy is not so good, I think the luck is questionable..

This is not true. I am going to kindly tell you what happened here. I posted this thread to honor Charlie Kirk and @solo, @Pilatesbod, and @Textosmoon shamefully brought their politics here to make it a political debate/talking point. They are sick people. This was not even posted in the Politics message board.
They forced those who do not agree with them to trade barbs with them. I chose to mostly ignore 2 of the offenders, and only stood up to the 3rd because her posts were ludicrous, absurd, and ridiculous ! Unsound even.
If you are going to say what happened in this thread, at least be truthful about it !

You have a real talent with writing ✍️ and your thoughts are real cohesive. So you’re gay? What do you think about Jewish American gays that have been marginalized by the LGBT community? Rainbow flags with the Star of David and Israel flags have been banned at LGBT Pride events? There is no longer any inclusivity of the Jewish American gays in American LGBT events that they have had to create their own events. The LGBT community has embraced the Free Palestine movement. Why? No logical sense for it as there is a huge disconnect between Hamas, Palestinians, and the LGBT community. Not to mention, Israel celebrates gay pride namely in Tel Aviv.

I’m going to post the rest of this post for those in the back.
Here are the facts:
Fact 1. Tens of millions of Americans started the week seeing a 23-year-old blonde woman—a young woman in whom virtually every parent watching pictured their own daughter—stabbed in the neck by a career criminal. These people then found out the murderer had been released from jail 14 times over.
Fact 2. Two days later, tens of millions of Americans watched a video of Charlie Kirk get murdered speaking to college students. Millions of these people knew who Charlie was; millions of them didn’t. Upon seeing the video, however, these normal Americans from across the land and across the political spectrum agreed that he was the victim of a terrible, fundamentally unjustifiable crime, and their hearts broke in sympathy for his family. Good people who had never even heard the name Charlie Kirk before wept.
Fact 3. Immediately after seeing the footage of a peaceful young man get shot in the neck, these same people logged onto Facebook and Instagram (remember, we are talking about regular Americans, not perpetually online Twitter or Bluesky users) and saw some of their local nurses, school teachers, college administrators, and retail workers celebrating this horrific crime. Not just defending it, but cheering it.
These are all facts. You may not like the implications of these facts, and we can certainly debate the underlying causes thereof, but, indisputably, they are nevertheless factual statements.
Here’s what it means for you, the Democrats reading this:
These normal, middle-of-the-road, non-political citizens just become politically active. They realized that politics cares about them, even if they don’t particularly care about politics. After watching Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk both bleed out from the neck, they think their lives and the physical safety of their families—the bedrock of human society, the foundation of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs—depend on political activation, whether they desire it or not.
These people are now sprinting—not jogging, not walking, but racing—to the right. Because they blame you guys for everything that just happened.
When they see footage of Decarlos Brown stabbing a Ukrainian refugee to death, they don’t see just one demon-possessed man. They picture every university administrator, HR bureaucrat, and DEI apparatchik that ever lectured them about systemic racism, the “carceral state,” or the need to release violent crime suspects without bail in the name of social justice.
They then think back to conversations they’ve had with their cop friends—their buddy from high school who quit the force after getting tired of being called a racist, their friend at the local YMCA who vents about having to release career criminals because Soros-funded prosecutors aren’t willing to file charges—and they realize everything the left has told them over the last five years has been utter bullshit.
And they blame you. Because, even if you count yourself as a moderate Democrat, your party supported the district attorneys, city council members, and mayors that let fictitious concerns about mental health and racial justice supersede very real concerns for their family’s safety.
When these Americans see blood erupt from the side of Charlie Kirk’s neck, they don’t see just a martyred political activist. They think of every extreme leftist they’ve ever met who (1) calls anyone to the right of Hillary Clinton a fascist and (2) constantly jokes—“jokes”—about punching Nazis and “bashing the fash.”
They realize that there really do exist people who wish to see them dead for their moderately conservative political beliefs, their Christian faith, and even the color of their skin. They ask themselves if the violence visited upon Charlie might one day show up on their own doorstep.
And they blame you. Because, even if you’re just a center-of-the-road liberal, you lacked the courage to police your own ranks. You let modern-day Maoist red guards run loose across every facet of society, and what started with social-media struggle sessions has now turned to 30-06 bullet holes.
When these Americans log onto social media and see their neighbors justifying, celebrating, glorifying murder, they realize that some who walk among them are soulless ghouls at best, literally demon-possessed at worst. These people—whether they faithfully attend church every Sunday or only attend with relatives once a year, on Christmas Eve—start talking about things like spiritual warfare. They implicitly understand that no normal human casually celebrates the mortal demise of a peaceful person.
And they blame you. Because, even if you condemned Charlie Kirk’s murder, they probably haven’t seen you condemn those in your own movement who cheered it on. They view you as complicit in allowing heartless fellow travelers to celebrate death, and it repulses them.
For all of these situations, what has your response been? Nothing but bullshit.
In response to Iryna Zarutska bleeding out on the floor of a train, you post bullshit statistics about reductions in reported crime, when everyone who’s ever been to a major urban center in the last decade knows that actual crime has skyrocketed, only for victims not to waste their time reporting it to cops that don’t have the manpower to respond and prosecutors that seek to downgrade as many felonies as possible to misdemeanor citations.
In response to a 31-year-old man taking a bullet to the neck in front of his family, you post nothing but bullshit whataboutism.

Because I’m right, and, as you reflect on this, you know I’m right. The ranks of my political movement gained millions of righteously angry new members this week. We have a mandate to ensure these crimes never happen again, and that’s exactly what we are now going to do.
If you want to keep a seat at the table as we do so, you’d better clean house and start policing your own.

To be honest, I didn't follow the conversations happen in this thread, I just took a quick glance, feeling them in and post whatever I just said. I have little patience on reading ppl's post unless one or more stands out, you know.. besides, I'm not a brainy person to begin with, how would I even attempt to reason with people here?
So basically what you are saying is that you want people to agree that his death was tragic as he was an activist of civil rights, am I correct? Then you also stated how you feel for him for he is pro israel, etc. and other values you hold he speaks for, right?
As he is an activist who debated his way into.. politics, I guess... You cannot deny the actual consequences which are arguments made by people.
He is afterall argumentative and many people got spiked from his temperaments.
Upon hearing him, to my view, he challenged alot of views and surely that can trigger people to think, do or act in a certain way.

Also, this was not meant to be a political thread. Anyone with common sense and any sense of human decency knows that. It was meant to honor him and/or process his death.
It’s truth that Charlie Kirk spoke. He was courageous and dived right into controversial topics. The people who hate Charlie Kirk and celebrated his death could not stand the light he brought to the world. They also hate truth. He was also making an impact and changing people’s lives.

Why would you want to honour a white supremacist? I can understand expressing condolences. But this has nothing to do with politics. Its simple he was a white supremacist who incited violence against minorities.
He was killed allegedly by someone even more far right than him.

Campaigned for stricter gun laws. No person under 25 should own a gun their brains are not fully developed.
I would also insist that all schools colleges and hospitals govt buildings etc be gun free zones.
Gun clubs of which the straight white man of 22 ( who is the suspect) and his entire republican registered family were avid members of need to be carefully monitered.
I dont believe normal citizens should be allowed to carry a gun around in public.

I think its likely the suspect stalked Kirk online. Possibly attended a few other events and perhaps felt rejected in some part by Kirk and his other fans ?
The suspect is a white straight man named Tyler Robertson who is 22. His father did the right thing and turned him in. His family allegedly are registered republicans. HIs father was ex law enforcement and now a minister of a christian church. They were all avid members of a gun club.
Of course innocent until proven guilty etc. All is alleged.
But if you ask what I would have done to save his life?
Security details should only be allowing these people to speak in gun free zones.
I would advocate for stricter gun control.
I would advise speakers to be polite and professional at all times to their fans. I would advise them to notice stalking behaviours etc soon and report them to the police. I would urge them to say things like ' I AM NOT YOUR LEADER' ' I AM NOT THE CHOSEN ONE' to discourage psychosis and a delusional following.
If your fans think you are god or a great leader etc. Its likely they are not right in the head. You want to weed people like that right out fast.
Stressing how normal you are and that the parasocial relationship you have while you respect it has boundaries etc... is important.

Chicago is a crime-ridden city that has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. It also has one of the highest homicide rates in America. Gun laws only prevent lawful abiding citizens from arming for self-defense. It does not prevent criminals from getting them if they want them.
The gun did not murder Charlie Kirk, an assassin did. Take away the gun and there are other weapons to use. Bow & Arrow, knife, and some have mobilized vehicles to be used as weapons. So what is your solution to those weapons? More weapon control?click to expand

I posted this thread to honor Charlie Kirk and @solo, @Pilatesbod, and @Textosmoon shamefully brought their politics here to make it a political debate/talking point. They are sick people. This was not even posted in the Politics message board.
They forced those who do not agree with them to trade barbs with them. I chose to mostly ignore 2 of the offenders, and only stood up to the 3rd because her posts were ludicrous, absurd, and ridiculous ! Unsound even.

I think this will help those of us who have empathy for the lives of others who are senselessly murdered for no logical reason.
If there is anything you could have done to save Charlie’s life, what would you have done? I would have changed his security detail. In looking at videos online, it appears that his security detail gave hints or indications to strike Charlie when the shooter did.

The Dayton Ohio shooter wasn’t politically motivated. He did share some left beliefs online, but that wasn’t his motivation and he killed his trans brother and black people.
So are we going by their motivations or their ideologies? Because the Atlanta shooters ‘sexual temptation’ was rooted in conservative religious sexual repression which is a hallmark of the right.
It really doesn’t matter because both engage in identity blame and there is extremism on both sides. But right wing political violence is objectively more frequent and lethal than left wing violence.
This is not my opinion or rhetoric. It’s backed by documented trends and numbers from the FBI/DHS. We don’t need anyone’s revenge fantasies, you’re already outpacing everyone in violent crime. If it’s anyone’s “payback” it’s yours.
