I don't think there is a man on earth who's looked at an attractive woman and said 'Oh, nevermind... I can f*ck with her... those earrings look too cheap'. So... Just get what you like, lol.

Posted by CopperDoveAgreed. I only wear gold jewelry because I get the pieces at cost. Otherwise, my choice is gold filled jewelry
I don't buy low quality no matter what the design is.
Design and quality is what I look at first, then if I can afford the piece, great, but often I can't afford what I am drawn to the most, so I just admire. Because the price of gold is high now, I sometimes opt for gold-filled which is a thicker layer of gold than plating.

Posted by CopperDoveIt's definitely nice! I used to design for a jewelry company, and didn't burn bridges there so they still hook me up haha it's 14k though, I wish it was 18k. 18k is so prettyPosted by thecrazyariestaurusCool. I found a good compromise one time by buying very small earrings and a matching pendant made of solid 18k gold. They were reasonably affordable thanks to the size, but they shine so beautifully -- like pinpoints of light on my skin - because of the 18k vs the more standard 14k gold that jewelery is made with.

Posted by LibraMudraHaha hubby can't get mad in the future when you want expensive jewelry! He started this haha
Up until this past 2 years, I never gave af about good quality jewelry. Always got whatever was at the store to match for outfits.
Hub started me out with an entire set he gave to me over time all to match my engagement ring he picked out and surprised me with at the end. And now... I am spoiled.

Posted by thecrazyariestaurusVery nice connection to have! 14k is great. What kinds of things did you design when you worked for them?Posted by CopperDoveIt's definitely nice! If it's high quality, and the design is cute but it's pricey, would you buy it or look for a cheaper option that's lower quality?
What's the main thing that draws you into a piece of jewelry (design, price, quality, etc)?
