Hey everyone! Thanks for reading.
So, I read somewhere quinoa is so healthy & I wanted to try it.
I bought this bag & cooked a portion for myself, but it ended tasting not so good 😢
So, my question is...how do you personally prepare quinoa? what do you combine it with in a dish?
Also, did it taste bitter the first time you tried it? (because it did for me).
Look forward to reading the replies!

Sounds delicious ^^..

Quinoa is awesome, its like rice and wheat but its gluten free and has protein it takes longer to cook though so u need to check the instructions.

Personally I would cook it in stock (massel veg stock is awesome) then fluff it up and maybe could add a little butter, then make a salad, Grated zucchini and carrot, tomato, avocado, rocket, spinach, fresh basil chopped up, and then you add the quinoa and a dressing....I usually use a big glug of good olive oil and two table spoons of white wine vinegar and salt and pepper...

Its fabulous in tabouleh if you want your tabouleh gluten free..

Now I'm gonna tell you the best thing ever.....Make them into Croquettes, you just prepare your quinoa and then you bake sweet potato and then when its cooked mash your potato and then drain your quinoa put the pan back on the stove and heat some olive oil and cook some onion garlic and whatever spices you want just to get the aroma going and onion soft, then you add the sweet potato and mash it all up and then add the quinoa (you want to make sure theres more quinoa than sweet potato though) add an egg and savoury yeast flakes, salt and pepper......then you roll them up into balls,,,you can either bake them in some olive oil (previously heated in the oven with the oil in the pan) or you can pan fry......and its really good to eat them with herb mayonnaise.....but I prefer Yogurt, garlic and lemon juice, just because my cholesterol is high at the moment lol

lotta diff ways. i made gluten free tabouleh for a friend using quinoa.

i've cooked it with thai red curry ingredients then stuffed it into red pepper ...very yummy.

last night i cooked it in vegetable broth and mixed it with a few other veggies and shrooms, and rolled it in savoy cabbage leaves. also good.

it's like rice or any other grain or starch for that matter... it goes along with a main dish or at the very least a few other flavoring ingredients.
