A souls journey...

Hi all...just replied to a few posts which got me thinking...do we and how many of us actually believe we have a soul.

I do, and because I do I know that it is more powerful than and above the physical realm of life otherwise known as the earth and the universe. I know this because I know as do you that life on earth is a countdown to death from the moment we are born but our souls live on and will have many bodies and die many times as humans before learning enough goodwill to actually break free from the shackles of the physical realm.

Here on earth things are set and are constant, there are rules that we all are bound by. Sharp knives cut through our skin, water makes us wet, the sun sustains life, gravity sends anything with a mass crashing back to ground level etc....

The fact that I know this along with my soul makes my life here on earth a lot easier to understand...especially in times of hardship and sorrow however just as painful, which is part of the lesson I'd say.
I find it easier to accept the difficulties of life because I realise it is all part of a journey I HAVE to take in order that my soul learn not to hate, not to kill, not to bring harm to anything in order that I have earned and am granted free passage from this place where we are bound by the constants and am allowed free will to do as I please in a place where all is perfect and just...

Nirvana...Heavan...call it what you will...my question is this...

Even if this place doesn't exist...is it not better to believe in and strive for that place regardless and as a result to live my life fairly and in tollerance of society and those around me..

'Countdown to death' UGH!! I don't know why I find that phrase so repellent. Yes I do. Time is the initial constraint - the 'shackles of the physical realm', the scale upon which you define the validity of your life.
It's a system of counting created by man - the sun rises and sets - it's a circular repetition, only linear in a person's mind. It's not a constant and yet we make it that way because of an inherent need to think of something being bigger than ourselves - something perfect and certain in the fallible world of the human species (often appears in the form of religion).

I could chat about this forever because (I just realized in the last two minutes) it's apparently something I appear to be passionate about. Woo-Hoo! My arch nemesis time!

I count my birthdays in letters of the alphabet - stops you saying things like I'm 17 now, I should have lost my virginity...I'm 29 I should be thinking about marrying and breeding - WHERE'S MY SOULMATE!...I'm 42 and I still haven't found a career I'm happy with. The pressure of living up to an impossible standard.

I think I might be babbling, but what I'm trying to say is that everything you are bound by is created in your own head.
I look forward to the suffering life subjects me to because it provides a depth from which to view the positives (a hidden sadness lies in the heart of true euphoria).

Oh yeah soul...I almost forgot...it's just energy - up to you whether you want it to be positive or negative.

did any of that make sense?

Don't believe in a soul but a consciousness. Doesn't really matter what you believe, and agreeing with Cortica, who should really give a toss. It's what you do NOW that defines the person you are, whether you follow religion, social law, morality, anarchy, whatever...just live life the best you can. Truth of the matter is, it isn't that important WHAT you believe, we all die and end up whereever or not. Why stress about it now..it's gonna happen to us all anyway..we'll find out then.

"Death came to me one night and tugged on my collar and said, 'LIVE. I AM COMING'".

If you say there is a heaven then you must believe that there is a "hell" but seriously this is hell and we make our own hell which means hell lives in us but since there is good and evil, we can escape that and go into "heaven" if we go on the "right" path, and if we dont then when we die then we die forever, And a soul? ofcourse we all have souls, thats a given. And since we have emotions, we're not empty so that gives us personality and feelings. It just all adds up. Life is "hard" as ppl say but should it be taken so seriously? I mean you're gonna die anyway so why not just live it up? but it all comes down to the HEAVEN thing again, everythings so complicated, humans are complicating. Before we all die will we ...blah nvm, im too tired for this lol i

Thanks for the replies guys...all very interesting indeed.

Cortica...I don't know why the phrase..."countdown tilll death" repels you either...are you afraid of death...I certainly don't think so...

Your reply was extreamly close to what I wanted to hear in that you say it's all energy it's our choice wether to make it good or bad...it's just that I didn't think we needed to go that deep just yet...but yes I totally agree.
You see what got me thinking this is that people find it so hard to accept things like poverty, famine, sickness and all the horrible things but it's as you say.."a hidden sadness lies in the heart of true Eutopia"...That was beautifull...I've never heard that phrase but will be quoteing you in the future on that...so true...!!!

It's kinda like all that bad give me perspective...sure I'm human and sure I have compassion and my heart hurts to see things like that but that's exactly what we need to see in order that we learn it is wrong...you kno what I mean.

Lawgodess...you too have agreed with me in that it's a conciousness...yes indeed, but I believe the soul in an extension of that conciousness entrusted to us and provides us with the all important connection to that conciousness as humans in order that our soul learn through experiance.

As for my darling Luz...indeed my dear. Yes I agree, this is as close to hell as you're gonna get...here on earth I mean. I don't believe there is a heavan in the true sense because once you are at that stage of your conciousness where you are above having a white picket fence, a son, daugther, perfect husband or wife...tra-la-la...yadda yadda yadda and so on.

When you are in that place which is much like "heavan" you transcend life's vibration throughout the rest of the existing conciousness you are not human you are as Cortica said...possitive energy...

Wow...that was some deep sh*t man...you Gemini's are a lot more fun than the rest of these boreing people on this message board from other signs run by their linear minds...

How many times will they ask...Ummm, ok, so ummm why did my Capricorn girl break my heart and leave me for another...before they get it...

thankyou for bringing me back to earth luz...i needed that.

all i was saying (while frustrated at the time) was that people need to have more faith in themselves and their situation instead of asking the same questions over and over to which there are no real answers other than to look at in within yourself first.

people are individuals...we are given the gift of choice and when they excercised that choice in choosing their partner enitially they never gave any thought to the fact that their partner was x, y or z...
now that there is a problem all of a sudden they look to the stars for the answers...

the answer often lies within the question itself...look within people...the answers are all there, not in the stars...they are a guide.

hmmm...yes i see your point and you and i might know better than that but...

it's just an analagy that get's people thinking as to what they do with their time in this lifetime...it's just a wake up call if you will to the fact that life is to short to worry about futile things really...but

most of all i think it perfectly illustarates the fact that to believe you only have one lifetime as a human and to think you can learn enough to even call yourself educated in that 75-80yrs in the broader picture of things is in my opinion selling yourself short.

lol...it's as my dear friend luz says...a person who knows something knows they know nothing at all...huggles right back at ya luz...and you cortica...😉
If you feel a connection with another person of the opposite sex should pursue it, even though you and the other person seem like an unlikely couple— And yes, the pros do out weigh the cons.

Obviously a few of you have been a bit startled by the 'Scenario' post.

I put it up there to explore people's imagination (something I'm realizing a lot of you know nothing about!)

You wake up one morning...swing your legs over the side of the bed...and then realize they are particularly short!

You look down and see that they are also covered in thick hair...

In the doorway of your room stands your pet cat Anthony,

Hey all you gems, A scorpio friend (female) of mine is mad at me, but I'm not sure why.

Maybe because I called her on her secretiveness and the fact that she never shares her feelings and blows hot and cold.

Anyway, now she refuses to s
