Can't trust a Gemini.

Gemini's are a lot of fun to hang with. REALLY. But they shouldn't be trusted. They're more into having fun, than keeping secrets. They would tell you secret just to get attention.And they're extreemly selfish!!

Why do u say we are selfish? Not every gemini is like that. I sacrafice myself all the time to my friends, because I love them and value our friendship so much more then any new friendship.
Yes, we like to have fun, but we never forgive if someone betrays us or goes against us, never. We feel deeply hurt and never come back to the person again. That is the worst thing I think u can do to a gemini is pretend that u are a friend and use them for something.
Not every gemini is like that.
I give money to my friends knowing that I am fucking broke myself and dont have enough to live on, only bcoz I care and love them and want to help them with my heart.

I agree. Gemini's are not all the same. We are very giving to the point that we get taken advantage of, like all givers. When this happens we step back and store that incident in the back of our heads. We forgive but we don't forget. If you want a true friend and "real friend" a Gemini is the best! We don't have many freinds but the ones that we deem appropraite to give to...from a Gemini, will be given ALOT!!!!!!

I think geminis are very sensitive people even though we try to hide it from people because we are so scared that are our hearts will be broken, so sometimes we rather stay alone or with few people.But we definitely never rurn down on anyone who asks for help, we do our best to help them even knowing that we cant provide much for this person, but we never say no..unless its something crazy..

I think that is the problem with Gemini, they seem to think someone has done them wrong most of the time. You're right you are very sensitive - too sensitive. That "is" why you have a very small group around you. Don't get me wrong, my mother was a Gem and she was a very hard working, loving woman with a temper. (mind you with 6 kids who wouldn't). But she never trusted anyone. That's too bad you know when you think about it. But I suppose you get into less trouble that way right?

No, I dont personally think that someone has done something wrong to me all the time, even if they have. I try my best to get over it and start fresh once again. I hate keeping anger. I think with geminis is that they react suddenly to any criticism being said to them when someone tries to teach them or someone tries to critise their actions towards anything.I think most geminis hate that, well I definitely do. I think that people should mind their own life and business first of all and do critise on rare occasions when they know the actual person very well.But everyone is different ofcourse.
About trust, I personally do trust people(my close friends) but definitely not everyone.It takes time to build real trust in a gemini that's how its said for scorpios also. They find it hard to trust people just as well,thats why you see some very reserved and controled.Actually most of my friends are scorpios which is very very strange combination.I am suppose to get along very well with leo, aries and libra.But I seem to be attracted to water sign the most, because they are very emotional people and you can talk with them starting from emotions and ending with reality. One of my closest friends are is scorpio and I value and trust our friendship the most.

Gemini's are like Aquarians always giving to their friends and remain loyal yes indeed I agree.

I'm not sure of your name, but I am a cancer. My mother was a Gem and I mean that in every sense of the word. She passed away when I was 21 so never really got to know her that well, with deep issues that the world gives us today. She did have many people who loved her that I know, but kept very few close. Which I suppose is normal for most signs anyway. I thank you for your insight. You might be right maybe I don't get along with this sign very well because I'm not sure I understand you guys. I also have a long time friend who is Gem, but I find her to have two very different personalities. One is the greatest and the other is soo much different. That's all I know.

I don't think you should undermine the greatness of Geminis. In my opinion Geminis are the smartest and most intriguing people out there. Get over it and start analyzing your own actions. Geminis have very complex minds and maybe if you would be a little more openminded you would see that.

I am a Gemini and I am not selfish!! I find that I am used and abused by friends and family alike,because they know I would give everything for them. I am constantly taken for granted, left broke and broken hearted,as only arseholes are attracted to me. They all see a real prat when they look at me...so hey maybe I deserve it...I should try to see beyond thier flattery and see what they really want.

I would have to agree with the people who said that Gemini where not selfish and who had a hard time trusting or not trusting someone who has done them wrong.I am a Gemini and i think its hard trusting someone who has done you wrong. You are really unsure of what you should and some times not going back to them or trusting them again is what we do, with me if you break my trust you don't get it back, but if I should come around it would take me a long time. I loved your comments. I'm a gemini. Yes, we are supposed to get on best with the other air signs...I don't. I especially find other Gemini's a bit intimidating. I get on like a house on fire (Pardon the pun) with Sag's for some reason. But all my true, special friends (which I don't have a lot of ) are Water signs. My best friend is a Pisces and the other important people in my life are all water signs too. The man I'm in love with is a Cancer. I feel so damn comfortable around water signs. They relax me. They make me slow down and stop thinking so much. Are there any other Gems out there who have similar thoughts on the matter. I'm a really late Gem (16 June) so maybe there's a Cancer influence there.

I know what you mean, Water signs do relax you but they have a tendency to tip the odd bucket of water on you and dampen your spirits for some reason. I'm a gemini with a cancer ascendent so maybe that's why I get on with them.

I would like to say the same thing about water sighns.My best and close friends are mostly scorpios, they are strong people with a great inner force and at the same time very caring for the ones they love but once you cross their line, you will receive a sting back in ur throat, quite similar with geminis, but we forgive a lot and make the same mistakes over and over again until we really learn.

I must admit I get on with water signs very well.I have moon in pisces and cancer rising.

All throughout school my 2 best friends were a Pisces and a Scorpio but they became bigtime druggies they got to the point where they would smoke pot every single day. I liked to do it occasionally but not everyday. One of them ended up overdosing on drugs and died (the Pisces), he was a great guy until he let drugs take over his life. I haven't talked to the Scorpio in a long time but I hope that he turned his life around.

gemini here i feel the same way as you. my first real friend i had as i was growing up was a cancer. i had a boy friend that was a cancer but broke up but we still talk. i had one problem with a scorpio once. well we were together for a short time but loved him very much intil we had problems and he just changed so much. like he did not let me know the other side of him. thats how i see scorpios are. but they are very nice people.

I can trust a Gemini. There are a few signs that I will not trust based on repeated experiences, over and over. I need more Geminis in my life for Pete's sake.

I find that I want everyone to be happy and so promise too many things to too many people and then forget about where I was supposed to be or who I was supposed to be with because I've just noticed something shiny on the footpath - there's so many immediate interesting things in the world that I find myself running off on tangents of re-noticing ordinary things from exciting new perspectives and that thing you half agreed to four days ago just kind of fades into the great mass of turbulant mental images.
A brain organized by priority rather than chronology because 'now' is the only important moment.
The only negative aspect is when I find myself telling someone what they want to hear and agreeing to everything they ask simply because I need to flee the grasp of their incessant meaningless dialogue. Hell!, if someone can't artfully navigate the generous realms of communication, why should I waste any effort on resistance - it's so much easier to say 'yes' constantly and then run away!

Geminis can be very trustworthy as long as they think it is in everyones best interest. Since they can usually see all perspectives on things, they might decide that it would be better not to keep the secret.(depending on what it is) Since the Gemini is often the mediator during problems, they do what they feel is necessary to reach a swift conclussion. I can't speak for all Gems. but I would never tell a secret that was specifically stated to be a secret. And I would never tell any secret until all other options of mediation have failed. No Gem. would ever gossip just for attention. Gems. love knowledge and they love to share that knowledge but would never do so if they thought it would bring harm to another. Gems have few close friends because it takes a special person to understand a Gem. If they trust you, you have a friend for life. They will do anything they possibly can for you and would never do anything to risk that friendship. Even though I stated differently earlier, if a Gem considers you a very close friend, he/she would never divulge a secret even if they thought it was for the better good, because risking that friendship is too high of a price to pay.

maybe gems can keep a secret, at least the secret of the "secret" other lover. dual personalities=dual relationships, never again, all the good stuff, and there are a few good points, can't makeup for the two-faced bs they put you through! this pisces woman only loves a gem, but they aren't worth the heartbreak, and i haven't found a non-cheatig gemini yet. sure hope there are a few out there!

I have noticed that Gemini's are sensitive, and the matter that you can't trust someone anyway is usually due to a defence mechanism that I guess we all have - to not show your feelings/emotions too much incase you get hurt. i guess if you think you can't trust someone it's probably because they can't trust you. As someone has replied to this posting, you need to earn trust. I suppose in terms of getting a Gem to open up and not be so self centred is to show them that they will not get hurt in the process. The best thing to do is to show them by opening yourself up to them and making them realise that you are trusting them wholely. Be sensible though and don't be upset if they do not understand straight away. I suppose if you expect them to be trust worthy them you must be trusting yourself and open to the challenges if your opinion/inner feelings are debated at any time. Remember, you cannot expect me to be your friend if you are not my friend first !

I totally agee! I didn't think there was anyone else like me out there! I hate when someone criticizes me or tries to teach me something. It makes me feel like they are trying to be an authority and i hate that. I guess we are very much alike. As far as trust, the first relationship is very naive, but once hurt, i find it hard to trust anyone.

Do you ever realize that sometimes people tell you kindly about the mistakes you have done is not to teach you but just to make you realize of it...

One day i tried to be good to a gemini friend,told her personally and nicely that one thing she's done which is not really right doing. She just burst out her anger on me. Make me feel really innocent.
