Gem FWB - can you tell me the score or nah?

lol I just got home from spending the night with my Gem FWB.
We hadn't hooked up for over a month and around 1am I get a txt. he seems like he wants to get down to business and the clothes came off quickly.
We were in each others arms, but then he just wanted to talk. He was telling me jokes, and stories about his childhood, he made himself pretty vulnerable to me, expressed himself as a sensitive man pretty easily hurt (I was thinking, wtf is this guy a cancer too?)
Our previous encounters, he was a bit of a dick but it kinda made me laugh.I dont mind that in a person if theyre funny.

I made little attempts to bring things back to sex but nope. as a cuddky addicted cancer I was loving it so I just snuggled in and enjoyed the bonding.
Eventually we did start messing around, I told him I brought condoms this time and he told me he wasn't ready for that yet...

That took me by surprise.
I know nothing about you guys, are you a sensitive bunch?
Is this guy catching feelings or am I reading this all wrong?

Lol it sounds like he is a water gem, hence the emotions, and from what you posted here, it seems that he likes you and might have feelings for you. I don't really think that an average gemini guy would behave so sensitively in such a scenario... I am an earth gem and I would never behave that way lol. Soo you have hooked up in the past, but he didn't want to this time? I wouldn't read into that *too* much. I had an experience with something similar in the past. Time will only tell.

Can you get his other placements?

We've hooked up a small handful of times but never actually had sex, the first few times I wasnt comfortable with it yet, and last time I was on my period and even though Im not particularly squeamish about period sex it's too weird in an early fwb thing imo so I thought we'd do it fully last night and grabbed a few condoms out of my drawer.

He does like you, water gems always like cancers... always!
But there is a line between liking you and having feelings. When we are low we enter in a state when we feel as we are in love, but then when we are feeling good again we come back to earth and keep on going exploring new things... and people.... i know, i know... :/

Yes treat him carefully... we are very sensitive. If you want a way to his heart just be sweet and validate him, make him feel he is the best and he will fall at your feet.
But if you are not, and you want to avoid breaking his heart, openly talk about it.

He most likely is interested and does really like you but as Tete said above just be careful. I am a watery gem and if I really like someone I turn into a very mushy/emotional person towards them (venus and mercury in cancer). Now even though that may be the case I can still flip flop back and forth between my emotions and be distant the next time I am with said person. I don't know what causes it but I'm in a problem situation like this right now. He likes you but jut tread lightly and see what other signs he shows you.
