All geminis give that ditzy vibe, no matter how book smart we may be. That's because we talk, we laugh, we giggle, we act, we perform, we imitate, we crack jokes, we are social butterflies, natural performers, we have sex appeal, that youthful innocence and child like wonder, etc...we attract attention!
Tell her to embrace her charm and not to go for jerks who only see her bangable body. If he is not willing to take her serious, then don't give him time of the day. It should be fairly easy to eliminate those idiots who see her for sex only. I love to surprise guys like that with some smart comment and see their jaw drop, ha!

"..she has that marilyn monroe vibe". I don't know your friend but Marilyn was a pathetic chubby sl*t
and according to other sl*ts she was a strong woman.

Interesting. I wonder what her rising sign is?
I have virgo rising, gives me a bookish look. I have guys be all like 'you look like you must be smart' and then turn the conversation to how they love the whole 'sexy librarian' thing. WTF! LOL!!
My advice. She needs to be more choosy in the guys she mixes with.
Also i think that one-on-one conversation is a real strength of gemini people. She should guide the conversation to her areas of interest. Draw them in with her conversations about her academic passions.

Thank you folks for your answer thus far 🙂
With her, she has a lot of interests and she loves talking about them. So she meets a guy and she gets so interested in a different personality..she never even sees him as a crush or a bf...only as a friend. Then the communication deepens and she feels he fell for her based on her personality, since they talk a lot. But with a lot of the guys I think they just get along with the conversation in order to bang her.
I can see why this would get her confused.

It just is. Im not sure why either myself. I also have Libra rising/moon. Taurus venus/mars. I dont have a problem with men per se I just attract like questionable types. Like people who arent good for me or compatible. Yes there is a ton of them that come around, but what we are talking about here Carlos is the DECENT ones. Not the amount. Its quality over quantity. We get the quantity believe me. But most of it is crap.
wow i bet you are one drop dead gorgeous gemini too 🙂click to expand

While I agree with the second sentence in your paragraph, I don't agree with the first stating all gemini's give that ditzy vibe.....NOT TRUE.
I love to make people laugh and chat with anyone. But I also love to discuss serious topics and prefer mental stimulation over someone who just wants to act like a goofball. I get bored with that very quickly. HOWEVER, I NEVER come across ditzy, period. I wouldn't even know how to act that way nor would
I want to. I want people to get the real dose of me; not a phony.
When I'm at the gym and in the women's locker room, I listen to some of the conversations by the teen agers around me. Most of their verbiage and demeanor is what I refer to as "Ditzy"......they have no clue as to the real world surroundings. It's all about them being in their world of social media.
When I ask them a simple question say about politics or current affairs, I mean something so SIMPLE anyone with half a brain could get the right answer;
they look at me as if I'm making them do a calculus problem.

As a guy, I admit that can be hard for me to look at a Gemini girl and not get swept away in passion for them. But, with a Gemini girl, her mind is as beautiful as her body, and often it is what makes her body so beautiful, for the freedom and cerebral nature of her thoughts light up her face and eyes with that beautifully youthful, cheery and animated expression that is Gemini. I think what your friend needs a guy who is manly and sensitive enough to both keep her warm and give her praise for how smart she is.

Thanks Sunshine I have really been crushing on y'all for the past few months now. But you right, Gemini is not necessarily a big ego sign and does not always want praise. What they want is to explore different ideas and concepts so it does not turn them on for someone to blindly agree with them. I think Gemini's like their opinions to be challenged as long as it is done logically.

What do you think about Pisces guys with Gemini girls?

I remember you saying that you were in a long term relationship with a Pisces. Didn't you have some feelings for him?

I have one Gem gf..she has that marilyn monroe vibe. Incredibly sexy but she's exactly like marilyn monroe...sexy as hell but struggles with people considering her smart, even though she is. It's like they cannot get past the sexy aura to connect with her deeply. I had no idea how much grief this made her feel until one night.
We were both at a party..she was working the crowd all happy and something like a butterfly. Then she vanished.
I went on the balcony, she was smoking a cig facing away from me. I turn her around and I see tears flowing out of her eyes.
I ask "Honey what's up?"
"I just can't get anywhere with men"
"What do you mean? All the guys here want to bang you lol"
"Yes I can see that. It's just..they never look beyond that. I see couples on the street laughing together, sharing opinions..and whenever I do that I always have the feeling the guy is going like - yeah honey *pats on the head*..can we get to sex already? I want to have a family one day and I have no idea how to switch from this vibe"
Granted, we are both young so we have the time for this. It just amazed me because I believed women like her, knowing their value, knowing they can attract men like crazy...would never run into an issue like this.
It got me thinking.
What say you Gem chicks..do you agree/disagree? Any advice?

This is beautifully written. Just one thing though its not praise for how smart we are that we gemini women seek. Its actual discussion. Its recognition of our thoughts and opinions but not just that acknowledgement its valuing them as well. We don't really care if you agree or disagree but we want our thoughts to be taken seriously.click to expand

Exactly. We value our thoughts and minds the most. Geminisces
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
THIS. Having an intellect and capacity to think for yourself while yearning for my information/details is raw Gemini at its best. When I'm around people
who don't stimulate my mind, I get bored and lose interest immediately. When someone can peak my interest by intelligently discussing a number of
legit topics and keep the conversation going, I'm hooked. Add some subtle sarcasm or irony, and I'm loving it.
I have strong opinions. They have been developed over time through research, reading, and my life experiences. The people who I'm most close to value my strong stance and willingness to defend my beliefs etc. My biggest annoyance are people who are spineless, don't have a formed opinion on real issues, and are apathetic. When I meet these type of individuals who are basically one big walking, talking vacuum, it makes me want to puke.
Looks are great, but if the person behind the looks is an air bubble, no thanks. I'm lucky. I married a man who can think for himself, has strong convictions, and isn't afraid to stand up for himself. He's already good looking imho. Adding the brainpower makes him sizzle.

It's a curse ^^
For me it is. It's like putting on a show where you're the writer, director, and actor at the same time. Then this stupid man comes along and he ends up being one of the extra characters who gets killed off in the beginning.
The thing about this crazy trait is that Gemini's like to have a good time and are very good at first impressions, but you have to check out your ASC and moon signs and other important parts of your birth chart if you want a bit of control over your destiny and fate. It's like a cheat sheet for life from the gods ^^
As for your friend, She's young and inexperienced even if she may have been through a string of heavy or light relationships. There are reasons why one must suffer in the night before the day of liberation comes. ^^
Just a food for thought! I think all Gemini's are gifted with this free - will and intellectual capacity to do whatever it is they've always want to do. They're achievers and most gemini's I know of are very smart and extremely good at having a fun time. I'm studying communications and am a Gemini sun and almost all of my classmates are air signs! Most of them are gemini's but the other fun signs are there as well I think that you're friend had this Alpha Male Vibe which attracts the lower males to her since most men crave power they would want to be with a strong woman.
But since their weak men don't expect them to do anything drastic. Weak men go for strong will women, weak women just take what they can get, and strong willed women won't settle for less.
See? Tell your friend she needs to be comfortable in her own skin. Tell her to be realistic. Think things through. And always be strong.
Gemini's can be trickster at heart but that is just the first layer. 🙂

Well, this sounds crazy, but I think Gemini's are the loners of the zodiac.
I mean, there's always a subtle sadness inside, even in the brightest moment of their lives.
I have two brilliant Gemini ladies as friends (yes, I'm lucky) and both of them are actually pretty tired of been the showgirl.
One of them is a complete emotional mess, masked by a beautiful yet vacant permanent smile and sarcastic comments.
The other one is real powder, but tell her someone's gotta go out of her life, after she really get to know her or him, and she collapses.
They both recover in a sec... and they are never alone, but, Who knows them, really?
I need to read between lines to know what's really going on inside.
It's like "I won't show you who I'm, what I'm feeling or what I REALLY think about things right from the start. You'll have to earn that.
When I think it's save to show you my world, I'll do it in my way under my conditions, and never, ever, ever try to force me to expose
my true self, cause I'll send you right to hell"
And I always respond something like "You can't let your fears take over your live, you know?
We all are vulnerable, but you won't take the price if you don't play risky sometimes. Don't hide.
Follow your intuition. And please, remember you're flawless the way you are, for God's sake!" =)
