I created a thread on the "Dreams" forum as soon as I signed up (winter of 2011 I think), and got made fun of right off the bat by 2 users that are no longer around I think. I had my guard up for a long time after that and was vary of making friends around here. The sensitivity of my ascendant. Shields up.

right... I was somewhat scared, too, at the very early stage of which I brought myself up to this site! lol ... some really funny comments, some razor sharp.. ouch!! and I thought to myself 'mmmm... I don't think I am ever going to post up anything on this site!!'

then in just less than a week.. uh-oh :o

Energy around here is definitely intense. Constantly intense. Really unusual. I guess that's why people keep leaveing and coming back every day. It can be scary but intriguing at the same time, if you don't choose to keep some distance it can become a big part of your life that can be hard to get rid of (if you end up actually wanting to get rid of it). Yes, I'm having a much better time around here nowdays and and don't worry, you're doing good. 🙂

My first thread was made after about two months of lurking. I posted on the Pisces board about a pisces man. I got reamed because I didn't know how to word things and they were picking it apart. I did get some support, but I was a little afraid to post again after that. lol!
I just learned how to word things better - hard lesson learned.

The positive side is I now have a great deal of respect for the ones who I felt were hardest on me. They give excellent advice and really get you to see deeper into it that you wanted to see. They are some of my favorite posters now.

I didn't realize it was the Gem forum, hope you don't mind the cap intrusion.

I think i lurked for a couple weeks before i made an account. I was searching lots of gemini and scorpio stuff and this website kept popping up. The scorpio is what brought me here though. My first thread got really long, got into a few arguments. Encountered alot of negativity, but also some cool people. I dont regret it, coming here.

This place is funny, lots of characters. Its also a good place to study people. Its like surveying people with little to no effort. Peoples minds interest me, but this allows me to keep a distance. I dont like people THAT damn much haha

Are you sure you're a gemini? What Gem doesn't like people— lol!

JK. It just seems that you have a different outlook than the rest of the gems and you don't fall into the stereotype. It's refreshing.

the positive side for me is that..this place is full of all sort of people from different paths of life..so just reading their threads is fun itself..very entertaining..and while I do that, I find myself gaining some new insights..points of view..ways to look at things I have never been able to..

I like reading your advice on people..very down to earth and helpful..

the first time I landed on this site was sometime around..last april.. I had some things going on with a certain cancer guy and he was soooooooooooo different from any other guys I had encountered so far..so I hoped for some good insights.. 🙂

Many, most people were very supportive and kind on my very first thread.. 🙂

then there was a petit hiatus.. I had gone off like for about.. hmmm 4-5 months? not sure..
and recently I came back..just to find the same, intense energy flowing on this site..
which is good..I have witnessed some of sites that I used to frequent..died out.. mostly due to lack of energy.. sites are..like people, really, in my opinion.. they gets created then it's like a baby..a few members..then it grows up..with its increasing members.. and keeps growing, growing..and growing up.. till some day it hits some critical point.. then either pushes through it and gets bigger..or just dies out on the spot .. but even with the first, the cycle repeats itself..and at some point, sites get old..less people come and join..then eventually cease to live..function :/


ahhh I rambled again .. please help me with my gem merc.. (——?) this is a bless and a curse at the same time.. lol

That's a nice way of looking at the positive side of the never-dying energy that DXP has. And shhh... I'm a Gem Merc myself. Once I start writing, you can expect a black hole of text, regardless of how important the subject might be to me. I learned to hold back around the netz, but I know how hard it is to stop sometimes, lol 😄
