oooh 911! (or 000 in Australia) I never thought of that! It could be perfect. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm a writer (though have gone back to uni at the moment because the solitude gets to you after a while!).
In regards to the radio show, there should be community radio stations that you can volunteer at to get experience in radio. It's lots of fun. I used to do a show with a really dodgy community radio station (7am Sunday aaargh!) and they were always looking for volunteers. You should have a go at it!

Cheerio.

Cheerio,

Responding back at you in reference to 9-1-1 type job. If being in media such as radio broadcasting and T.V. interest you, starting as an emergency operator is a door opener. To begin with, learning to communicate to fire rescue and law enforcement personnel out in the field, is same as learning a new language. When important calls, such as, car chases, CPR saves, and just about any good human interest story goes, the media is all over it. I take calls for the media everyday. There have been numerous opportunities to appear live with a reporter I couldn't count them. I don't care much for cameras, but have inadverently heard my own voice on a T.V station. A 9-1-1 tape was being broadcasted to illustrate a story. Didn't even know it was me until I realised what story they were talking about. Been in couple of newspaper stories. You can't avoid publicity because you are a public servant. Puts you on notice how important this profession really is to all of us. Just thought this might help out with your endevors. Sending out fire trucks to calls is a lot practice in radio. You learn to hear yourself, critique what you hear and make improvements.

From your Florida 9-1-1 fire rescue operator

Hi fellow gemini! I too get so damn bored at jobs after only a few months. I need something mulit-tasked to keep me interested. Don't you aree? I am majoring in journalism, hoping to become a writer. But i also want to try modeling and acting. Ya know, something that is fun and i don't mind doing everyday. Entertaiment or the legal career is the best for us. I hope this helps!
