What are Geminis like? (especially males)

My son is turning one in about a month, and the more personality he shows the more I am interested in his chart. His sun is Gemini, and I wonder what the Cancer Gemini relationship is like. I have never really had any Geminis in my life. What are the men like? Any advice for a Cancer mama? Any of you have a Cancer mother? Anything you'd guys like to share would be awesome :-)

I posted this in the cancer forum as well, and the follow through thing was brought up there too.. Any advice on how to keep motivation up?

I'm a Gemini male, and my Mom was a Cancer. All I can give you is my perspective, and although my Mom did a good job, I wish she had known the following:

You will soon learn that Gemini's need their Freedom, but they also need structure. I don't respect authority, but do need it.

You will appreciate that he can view things from many different perspectives. Only after exploring all perspectives will I ever reach a conclusion.

He may feel happy one second, upset or confused the next, and then be happy again. You will notice that he may have different personalities ( It's not as bad as it sounds ) Embrace the mood swings, it's just part of our nature.

Life will never be boring, he'll be active, energetic, curious, very social and care free.

I just gave you an insight into how I think as a Gemini. I am capable of arguing for or against a certain topic, depending on how I'm feeling, and may even go back and forth at the same time, which may seem contradicting, and shouldn't be mistaken as such.

That may sound confusing, but to a Gemini it makes perfect sense.

Thank you so much for your input, very informative! He is such a social butterfly already and so independent! I'm a cancer so I am queen moody and tend to be very sensitive to peoples moods so hopefully that helps

I feel that it's important for a Gem's mom to be a constant source of support and love, but to definitely not be overly doting or protective. The Gem must always feel his or her freedom. The best thing my mom (Aries) ever did for me was to remember that my life was mine and that she was there for guidance. She always felt that her role was to raise me well and then let me go. She never tried to cling or make my life about her needs.

Not being overly protective will be hard for me. Thanks Whimsy for the response!
