Why do you believe in Horoscopes?

Why do you believe in Horoscopes? From what I've seen and heard, there is no proof that horoscopes can work. So why do people insist on letting this kind of crap lead your lives? Sorry I just had to find out.

I dont believe exactly what the horoscopes say for a sign, but I do believe that a person with a particular sign is going to common with those traits.. I do read horoscopes just for entertainment but I do not base my whole day on what a passage said my day would be like. that is ridicilous

Because I don't care what ANYBODY says, the sh!t is true! If you get a true reading with your birth time & everything...It might change your mind. I haven't done a full reading on someone that didn't hit the nail on the head as far as personality.

Letting it rule your life is pretty pathetic. Astrology for me is like the rules that govern our behavior..but rules are made to be broken. Just a thought

In my view that allows for a lot of personal growth. Rather than accepting that 'it was written in the stars for me to be like that and nothign can be changed'.
I do think though that the astrologers are skilled psychologists who can 'scan' a person within minutes and based on that throw in the open subtle assumptions about how that person is.(Have you guys heard about Cognitive psychology and respectively Schemas?).
But nevertheless, it can give one so much insight in who they are and it makes one more aware of what they want to change within themselves. Im talking about the detailed readings.
I think that the daily bits of horoscope from newspapers and magazines are cr*p and I think many of us agree with that.

But from a larger perspective,who is to tell that there is no link between the 'stars' and the whole universe and us as human beings? After all everything in nature is interrelated.

that is absolutly correct. we are all one.. the universe is directed by us actually
everything you see on earth is a whole, and one complete everything
nothing can exist without the other.
The personal readings are correct, I have seen so many simularities in what I read, some of the to a 'T'.
daily horroscopes.. yes is crap.

yes rules are made to be broken. always experience.. never follow astrology to a 'T' to rule your life.. it's only there as a basis of where to start. We control our own happenings. reading a personal reading on someone by time of birth ect. we can inhance our happenings to fit what we want into life.

Same thing happened to my buddy Jim-Bob, who worked at the Jimmy Dean pork sausage plant. Fortunately for him he had the machine set fer links and not patties. So they just sewed it right back on fer him.

when I was in country music we played a jimmy dean pork sausage plant opening. I was a one string tub player for the little jimmy dickens band. I invented the electric juice harp. Little jimmy ended his days when he tried to play it. god rest him.

people believes the horoscope because most of them who reads thier horoscope especialy the birth charts, it usually right however its just a guideline in order to understand and to know yourself differ.

beside faith is fix but destiny can be changed. or vice versa.

Horoscopes are just edumacated guesses on an on average and common scale.Everyone might have those things going on in thier life at that moment.People that go as far as worrying about someone w/ a letter m that is going to do something bad to them are causing themselves more unnessacery problems then there needs to be.Circus psychics do the same thing.
