I was born with asthma, got my right eye bruise as a bonus with just 4 months old lol

Around age 20 i started drinking lot of water everyday, don't bother drinking any juices like coke, fanta, etc. Green ice tea lipton is fine, start eating less meat cause the less fatness the better for you.

With some years i started getting better and even doing lot of physical work which i wouldn't make it years ago.

Thank you for sharing your experience and tips

Does anyone know anyone with asthma?

What info can you provide on this health issue

I have it, I get it due to pollution. What is it you want to know? click to expand
Everything you can share... I think my little girl is developing asthma, click to expand

Do you know what triggered it. I'm sorry to hear she could be developing asthma. Did she undergo anything stressful?
I will share how I started to get it. We moved to India and I saw these swirling dust clouds and I didn't expect the country to be dusty. I'm from Sri Lanka and the country as such is much cleaner and the air is cleaner. Within few days I started to struggle to breathe.
I believe it is psychosomatic. I truly believe if I were to go back to Sri Lanka I will be rid of it. I never get it when I travel to clean places in India.

Stress could act as a trigger. Food allergens. I eat everything but there are certain foods that might increase the possibility of an attack. How old is she?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I live alone and I been managing very well. Teach her breathing exercises. And eating healthy. When I don't eat, I can easily get an asthma attack. So how healthy I am plays a role.
So what I do is I eat well and I stay active. I dance, I work out, I do yoga, I run at times. I play badminton and tennis, I play cricket and I play with my neighborhood kids. I would say I'm farrrr more active than my friends who don't have asthma. So don't let it hold her back from what she wants to do. I can pretty much dance for three to four hours straight. It's in the mind ya know.

Sometimes I won't carry my inhaler(I use salbutamol inhaler) and when I get an attack, if I'm confident I can control it by breathing. Even anaphylactic shock- this is different from asthma and very severe allergy but I have controlled it by believing I can control it without any medications.

Yoga would help her. It relives stress and teaches her breathing and to control her breathing. It helps me but I'm very careless about my health. Don't ask why. I don't bother much. But you may wanna consider sending her to yoga classes, there is something called pranayama. And there are other asanas like Sukhasana, ardra matsyendrasana, sethu bandasana. These posts helped me a lot.

Other than this. One thing I would ask you is please don't get stressed if and when she develops an attack. My mom used to get extremely stressed and it used to affect me a lot. Tell her she will be alright. Make her believe she can rid of it. It's mostly psychosomatic.

Certain things that my brother used to do for me that helped me feel better would be.
Back rubs, he would sit and talk to me, sometimes when it was severe if alone I get stressed and it would escalate-mine was extremely severe then, so stay around and just make some herbal tea for her or vaporizer or back rubs should help. Make her comfortable.

I wrote a lot. Hope this helps. Carry an inhaler if she needs one. Keep an extra one around. Easily accessible. And I am very confident asthma is psychosomatic and can be controlled. I have done it many times and I don't get it when I move to places where the air is good.

Thank you so much this was super helpful, she's 6. Were waiting on some lab work to determine if its asthma or allergies but she's gasping for air during the day, she's only peaceful when she sleeps.
