Cancer/Leo cusps (females especially) step forward
Hi -- I hope you are still checking these messages. I am a 32 year old female born on July 22. According to some sources, I'm a Cancer. According to others I'm a Leo. I mostly feel like both -- ruled by the sun and moon, and enormously contradictory. So, for all of your questions, the answers will most likely be sometimes yes, sometimes no. But I'll try to be more specific. Are you a fellow cancer-leo? I'm very curious about others. I think this is a hard cusp -- I also wonder about other's experiences.
Do you feel you are even tempered? Generally. It takes a lot to really drive me crazy.
Do you feel in control most of the time of your emotions, but occassionally have a quick burst of anger and you dont know where it came from?
Yeah, but mostly a fit of weeping, or I go on some kind of verbal tirade. Rarely a really angry temper tantrum.
Do you desire a passionate and loving, secure union? Yes, as long as I don't feel owned and the person I'm with understands that I need independence and yes, attention. Lots of it. Oooh, poor guy. How can he give a girl space and all the attention she desires? No wonder I'm not in a serious relationship!
Do you have a high sex drive? Usually -- if I feel sexy and valuable. Need lots of foreplay, and I mean all the time. Cook for me, bring me flowers, listen to me, tell me a secret, talk dirty to me, slow dance with me, and my sex drive is through the roof.
Do you really think children and large families are important? Yes. Love, love, love my family. Not sure about having kids though.
When you go to parties or group discusssions do you find a way to dominate the conversation or feel happy listening? Both. I like listening a lot. I'm curious about other people. But I'm also afraid once I get started yapping, I climb right up on my soapbox. Especially if there is a drink involved. But I have to feel fairly comfortable to get to that point, usually.
Do you desire a fulfilling life and hate boredom? Of course. But I'm seldom bored. I do well to entertain myself, but I must also be surrounded by loved ones.

I always feel incontrol even when I KNOW I'm not in control.

I was blessed to be with someone who I met when I was younger and I'm still with him I met him like 8 years ago and it's like either we are head over hills in love or I hate him like no other! it's never friends, we are together now and have been for the past 3 years.
I have a high off the chart sex drive! but back to the question above if I didnt have the sucure and loving union I'm in now I'm sure that would be quieted....or it just wouldnt be acted out.
I want alot of babies...I hope majority of them can be cancers..or cancerleos, just joken.

Absolutely-- I have a very strong sense of fairness and reason, and when things don't seem to fall into those categories, I have a tendancy to get "fired up."

Yes! Thankfully, I'm lucky enough to be in that secure, loving, passionate partnership. I think because I'm a passionate person, I'm just too jealous to be in a relationship that I felt wasn't secure.

Yes-- I'll just leave it at that.
Do you really think children and large families are important?
Yes and no. I admire, even adore, the idea of lots of children and a large, loving family. But at the same time, I don't feel as if I NEED to have one; that they're not so important that I couldn't be happy without children or a large family.

I always used to feel as if I belonged in the spotlight and that I should be the center of attention, but now I feel as if I've partially outgrown that desire. I am prefectly content to be a listener; and although it's still fun to the center of attention at times, I don't need to be.

Thank you to all that posted! I just now checked these boards. I was on recently and didnt see anything, sorry it took so long to get back! The last poster said that as they go in life they feel more like a cancer, im the opposite. i feel more like a leo the more I go on in life. These are very interesting answers. I need to go back and read them again
trinity21: you and I share the same birthday! most of what you said sounds like me except for the kid part. i dont fit any cancer on the kid part, i have no biological clock whatsoever and dont know why.
and to answer the question about are sags and leos compatible? yes from what i hear they are very compatabile.
I might want to add to this that since i made this post i have found out that every one of us has alignments in different signs...when you get a birth chart done you find out that your rising sun is something which in my case is cancer, that your moon sign is different, my case leo, and then goes down from there...mercury, saturn, jupiter, etc...and all of these alignments go into different signs. I have a little pisces, sag, and libra thrown in with me aside from the cancer/leo cusp so now im more confused than ever on how to look at astrology...LOL

are you male or female? I really couldnt tell from the words, but I'm all women lol, so maybe the maternal instint just kicks in strong in me at times. I had my rising sun is, but it still came out to be cancer I think so I was confused like 'it's the same thing!'

=I guess so. Im a reasonable person. I generally stay calm and relaxed unless im given reason not to be.

- all the time. i get so angry. everyone i know thinks im a drama queen and says that my emotions are extreme. i never used to but lately i get really angry a lot of the time. sometimes i dont know if its necessary or not.

- yes, very high. but i think most people my age are the same.

-not overly. its more important for me to be a complete individual then for me to be a mother. My parents and siblings are very important to me though.

I'm a Leo but my moon is in Cancer. Does THAT count? 😉 Because I think the moon in Cancer makes me too emotional!

It's more effective than just being born on the "cusp". There is just no sucha thing as being more than one sun sign.

There's no such thing as a "cusper." There is nothing to support the theory astrologically.
All those non-Leonine things you feel are the product of everything else that is physically in your chart. Check out your Moon and its aspects, Neptune placements, etc.
Astrology at large is certainly a matter of interpretation, but taking an "anything goes" approach makes the entire exercise about as useful as a pair of thermal underwear in Death Valley at high noon.
Consider cusp theory if you like, but *always* look at actual planetary influences *first*, because those are actually substantial (obviously, because it's planet-based) and rooted in established theory. Chances are, your answer will be right there. 🙂
I agree; that's why I romp around nude in Death Valley.
