He tells you he's the boss 'in a joking manner' not bc he's trying to illustrate that point (if it's the truth, why announce it?) but as a way of trying to maintain his masculinity and the illusion that he has control of his libido. By claiming he's intentionally witholding is easier on his masculinity than saying he just doesn't feel like it.

Though I bet he doesn't even have lower sex drive than you. It's your entitled attitude towards him that turns him off.
