He is older, 61 but looks much younger, quite youthful AND immature for his age. Recovering alcoholic also, 21 years. Very good spiritual life, helps a lot of people in the fellowship. He has a HUGE ego and equal sense of insecurity. He gets off on the sexual attention he gets from the women there and the admiration from the men. he likes his position of "elder" in AA.
He divorced early into sobriety and went to have stupid, irresponsible relationships, one after the other. Eventually he fell in love with a married woman. It was high drama as she was in and out of her own sobriety. Eventually he left her, and only recently after 8 yrs or so, her hub left her, they divorced, and he was in and out of her life helping her to get settled. He is, I believe, still in love with her but she is so ill with addiction she can never return the love. So he goes on to superficial relationships with women who adore him but he doesnt feel the same. He seems to pick these women as a protective way of not falling in love. A year ago he met a 40 yr old with a few years sober and fell madly in lust, but he thought it was love. Typical big boob, drama queen. They were calling it love after 2 weeks, high drama, but this time he did seem to have feelings. She was deeply troubled emotionally and he wanted to rescue her. It blew up weekly and finally months later it was done. He admits he picks these women over and over.
He does tell the women with whom its only gonna be FWB thats what he wants, so he doesnt use them. They just never believe it will remain that way. Our friendship ended nearly a year ago when he broke my confidence to one of his boopie friends.,telling her and others my deeply personal business. He is a huge gossip so I shouldnt be surprised. Oh andhe lives with his 81 yr old mother LOL...cus she couldnt live alone at her age. They fight like cats and dogs, but he does love her.

I used to have a male Leo best friend, we hung out for years together, I watched him with many many girls. He was in love every other week, I thought it was funny.
Anyway, one night, he told me he "liked" me and wanted to be with me, I was shocked. He'd never shown any interest, was always kind of a sarcastic dick to me. I told him no way, we're friends and my feelings weren't like that.
We only hung out like 2 or 3 times more after that, then he disappeared forever. It's sad, I miss him from time to time.
The only other male Leo I've known besides him, was the one I was "hanging out" with. He, like your old Leo, said he didn't want a relationship, but would contradict himself both in actions and words constantly, before spitting out the "we're not together" bit, and repeat. I think (besides him telling me) that he's just afraid of being hurt, and again, like your other Leo, chose women, or so he thought, that he couldn't get attached to.
Seems to be a trend, eh? :/

My Leo male friend is very similar. Still fixated on this girl and knows they are never going to be together. He goes through women like crazy, never feeling a connection. And yes, he is honest with them. But he has women throwing themselves at him left and right, not seeming to believe it will be more than FWB. Wow! It is true what they say about that leo fixation, plus he has venus in cancer = double whammy.
He's the best male friend a gal can have though!!! He's been there for me and helped me with so many things and such a great listener.

Ahh just like my Leo. Still hung up on his ex, his Venus is also in Cancer, scary.

Very funny, ballsy, "hey Im Mr confident" on the outside. Life of party, very spiritual since he got sober, helps everyone who needs it to the extreme. Loyal beyond a fault. When he has a crush, he turns to putty inside. Becomes tame and nervous. Told me tonight he needs the woman to show her interest to him, even lead him a bit. He has helped me through some very difficult alcoholic ex husband years. He got firm with me with I needed it and loving all the time. He has had a long time crush on me and wanted to take it to the next level years ago but it was in my heart, so we've remained good friends.
Note: When he fell for me, he disappeared without a trace. Looking back, it was the first time it'd ever happen. As I wasn't *in love( with him it didnt tear me up, rather as his loving friend, I thought it was his sobriety struggling so I didnt obsess but I did reach out regularly. he ignored me each time. I kept it up for almost two years, just to let him know I cared. He finally replied to an email, we spoke and he told me he was becoming obsessed with me and his sponsor told him he needed to detach from me. Excellent advice, but I wished he would've told me. He had to do what he had to do for him.
He is a treasure and has my back like no other. We talked tonight and he told me he has the same fear of being hurt, and took about a year off of dating. He started dating a woman 2 months ago and it seems like its ok. He said he hasnt gotten scared off yet, so thats a plus! He is late 40's.
