OK...here's the answer to both our questions:


If the cusp of your 8th house says Aries, it should also list the degree and minute of Aries that is there. It may say something like:
13 Aries 25, or 13 25 Aries, or whatever.

There are 30 degrees in each sign. The degrees on the cusp tell you how much of the sign Aries is in the 8th house, so going back to my example, the above person would have everything from 13 degrees 25 minutes Aries to 30 degrees Aries in the 8th house. The earlier part of Aries, from 0 Aries to 13 Aries 24, would be in the 7th house.

Next, you look at the degree of your Moon. Once more, I'll use the above as example. If the Moon is earlier than 13 Aries 24, it is in the 7th house. If it is later than 13 Aries 25, it is in the 8th house. If it is exactly 13 Aries 25, it is right on the 8th house cusp.

Now I need to look at my chart, again.

So...it looks like I have Saturn in Libra in the 1st house...along w/ Libra in the first, and pluto in the first by about .11 degrees, right?

This is all making sense, now.
