Understanding a Sensitive Leo Man

Leo men can be emotionally expressive and sensitive, especially when they feel secure. Their tears often reflect deep feelings and the need for understanding. Handling his emotions with patience and compassion helps strengthen your connection. Recognizing that his vulnerability is a sign of trust can guide your supportive response.

I've been dating a Leo, things are great but he's very emotional. He cries a lot and I don't know how to handle it. I'm appreciate he's comfortable with me and can show his emotions. Are leo men normally like this? How should I handle the situation when he cries?

I have dated two Leo men one in high school and he was so overly sensitive it was so annoying. Like he would whine and pout about every little thing! He would even cry sometimes when he was mad. I am with a Leo now and we've been together for almost 3 years and I have only seen him cry maybe twice if that! He can get a little whiny sometimes if he does not get his way but that's normal in my opinion. If he is crying a lot maybe he is just overly emotional and sensitive and if I were you I would tell him to suck it up. I am a Taurus I would not be able to deal with that every day. Women we cry over things all the time for men that should not be an every day thing... just my opinion though!

These dudes definitely have lots of Water in their charts, as JustALeo said.

I've been accused of being "a robot", "a rock", cold, aloof, detached, etc., only just because I'm more level-headed even in the most dramatic situations. Trust me, I don't like drama at all or huge displays of over-emotionalism. I prefer to solve problems more rationally and logically with a well established strategy on the course.

I have prominent Air and Earth positions + Sun aspects to Saturn and Uranus. These placements bring quite a different vibe, I can guarantee it.

I forgot to mention that my Ascendant is also aspected with Saturn (biquintile) and Uranus (quincunx). The latter is a wild card to have, but it also gives coolness at some point.

The first time he cried was when he would talk to me about his. Up as she's not well, which I understand.
The second time he cried when I had to leave to go home (we live 3 hours away from each other)
The third time he got all teary while we were at the beach, I can't remember what we were talking about
The third time he cried when he dropped me off to the airport. That was the worst, he has tears streaming down his face and I was frozen. Well I didn't know what to do as he was driving. I just wiped his tears away.
Being an Aquarius I'm not as emotional as him and when I am, I do it in private as I feel like I'm making a show of myself. It just makes me feel very awkward when he cries.
He comes across as a very macho man, he's over 6ft tall, built, goes to the gym. But I see a very different side to him

Yet again, I have Mars in Aries with plenty of other Fire placements in my chart, and I won't even think about crying at all. I'm either optimistic because of my faith, or pretty logical to the point of over-analyzing everything.

On the other hand, I use my Water placements for healing and regeneration. Not for whining and crying all the time.

Ironically, I experienced a very similar situation with my Aqua lady. But she has Virgo Moon in the 4th house, accompanied by Cancer Mars. I was shocked by her reaction, so I can totally understand you.

He's not a Leo he's a Virgo. The cut off date is August 22. You should repost to the virgo thread. It makes sense Leo are not usually big babies.

31st July 1991 lol that's his bday not August

You might as well post his chart, now that you've obviously got everyone's attention. 😉

Lol, ok. He has an Aries Moon and a lot of Virgo in his chart.

Aries are known to be a little emotional and sensitive. My sister's ex bf is an Aries and one of the most sensitive men I know. He can cry on cue.

Maybe he either has a watery ascendent like Pisces or maybe he's just going through a really tough time in his life?

Men, by societies definition, are not suppose to be emotional but the fact of the matter is they are just, if not more, emotional than women. I read a study that said baby boys are need more attention and cry more than baby girls when not given attention. This was a study done with hundreds of infants.

It's just that boys are raised not to cry or not to show emotion. The study hypotheses that the reason for high rates of violence and incarceration in men is due to this social norm for men to hide their emotions. Yes, men and women are wired differently in the brain but that doesn't mean they don't have the same hormones and chemicals in the body that produces emotions. They in fact do have these things.

Maybe it's best to just try to be there for him. It's been said that Aquarius are emotionless, but I don't think that's true. Imagine yourself in his situation where you were going through something rough. You'd want him to be there for you. Thats how you should handle it. Imagine you at your worst and what you would want in that situation where you feel weak. What would you want him to do for you? Just be there right?

Thanks Xtina. I tend to hide my emotions and if I do cry, I do it in private, I hate making a show of myself or looking weak. I'm not use to being with a man who's so emotional. I'm normally the tough love kinda person, but with him I feel like I need to reassure him A LOT and give him lots of cuddles when he cries. I just don't know how to react, who he cried in the car, I just froze. I was thinking in my head 'wtf is going on', but I do think I comforted him.

😄 Yes we are, most people think we are cold hearted... We are far from, but you only see this side of us when you are allowed into the inner circle.
