Not a Leo, but I'll try to give you my input briefly, what each placement brings to both of you in simple words.
It should be remembered that sun sign aren't completely reliable by themselves.
Your MOON(emotions, the heart) matches with her sun(it is "conjunct") . So, you both have a good connection there. Because she has same moon as you, she can feel you, pick up on your emotions and also being a Leo sun...both of you support each other.
Both of you have MERCURY(communication, perception) in Leo. So your communication will be on the same wavelength. Easy communication since they are conjuct each other and both your moons and her sun!

Okay, wow, it's nice both of you have fire risings. Ascendant is how the world perceives you, how you appear in public or your behaviour in general in a new environment (public). But it's indicative of the 7th house(the house of marriage) . Which is Libra(for her) and Gem(yours).
I'm not very sure but the 7th house also points to your behaviour with your partner in the long run. So..yes. Both are fire risings which is nice. Especially your rising does good for her fire.
@her emotions --- maybe.. Her cancer mars squares her...everything on her chart right..so it makes it difficult for her to deal with emotions (expressing) ...like, for example, of a person has Pisces mars, Scorpio moon and cancerrising, she'll be an emotional wreck and her close ones can read everything she's feeling unless she decides to hide it. Her emotions(moon) make her do things(mars) that find an eaaaasy outlet through a cardinal water rising that people can easily see. Am I making sense lol? But hey, you ARE seeing how she's struggling with emotions, so that's a goood sign. You're able to sense her...give it some time, you will bring her out of her tiny difficulties haha..
