Friendship

Well, well, well I must say the friendship after being lovers thing really is a great thing with Librans. Its been almost a month since I ended things with that gorgeous man who cannot commit but in having said that, I have the most amazing friendship with him now. We seem to be doing things back to front, i.e. really getting to know one another now on an intellectual basis rather than physical.....long story short, he invited me to watch him play football last weekend (shock, surprise, horror)....I went along and since then? its been almost daily contact. Its really nice, whereas I'd be lucky to hear from him twice a week before that.

I would have preferred the relationship as it were WITH what we have now but this aint bad at all. Weird but so good but yes I have remained true to myself and will no longer be doing things only his way anymore (but how easily I could LOL)....I think that has intrigued him somewhat, that I haven't broken and come running back to what we had.

Anyway, for you out there who are/were in the same situation.....they do make the most amazing friend after all is said and done 🙂

Good for you Chatz, but have you thought about dating/seeing other people? You're really making progress but I could see you sliding back especially with daily contact. Not my business but I know as a fellow fire sign we tend to be optimistic and impulsive and you're too good to be in that position unless he is really ready to change (and even then he would need to earn it). I know for me the easiest way to truly get over someone is to meet someone else as that directs a lot of my energy away from other situations and would allow me to committ to a friendship only relationship in your type of situation. But you know yourself best and I am glad you are feeling better about the whole thing! Stay stron!

Stron?? LOL....I am....Im not going to LOOK for anybody at this stage but yes I have had a couple of very casual dates (just to get me over HIM) but won't eventuate anything and I made that clear from the start to them...quite happy being single and having a lot of fun going out and doing other stuff of late...its all good 🙂 The wonderful weather of late has helped a lot.

You are right, he would need to "earn" it but I dont think he's ready and won't be for a long time yet so Im not hanging onto false hope that's for sure, plus time has a way of getting us over having feelings for somebody, especially somebody who doesnt feel the same about you.

Don't worry firegirl, the first 2-3 weeks were very distant and painful but now we're both finding that we want the friendship above all

Life has a funny way of working itself out....there I was thinking it was a total loss when I told him it was over, but distance has brought us closer....weird but Im not complaining nor questioning 🙂 He better not tell me about his new girlfriends though or else LOL
