Long Distance?

I'm going to try to keep it short and sweet.

My job moved me about a year ago. Before moving, I met a Libra guy who was really nice & we dated a few times but before we could make something of it the job circumstances took me away. We never slept together (sort of sad because the chemistry was there!) and I know he is very sexual.

We've talked a bit since I moved and I've made it really clear that I don't plan on returning as I have fallen in love with my new place. I probed, and found out he loves where he is too - so neither of us will live in the same city for the foreseeable future. Not exactly the recipe for a relationship to develop.

So lately he has been making a big effort to contact me. Messaging me many times per day on Facebook, saying the regular relationship type attentive things like checking on my day etc, wishing me well... seeing why I'm up at a certain time. He seems really curious to know my activities. This man is really smart, I know he's flirty, but he is paying particular attention to me in a way that makes me wonder why.

Is it common for Libras to strike up long distance relationships? I know they say Aquarius women are (so its not foreign to me), but I have little interest in playing a tease game from so far away. Or falling in love with someone I can't have. Does this dynamic interest Libra? Knowing this might help me figure out his intentions...

Air signs can easily do long distance relationships because we love being Independent from relationships, doesn't mean we can't or won't get in one but the less stressful romantically the better, if long distance isn't what you're looking for then you probably wanna not be there/show up sometimes when he's showing up, he'll take the hint and move on.

It would be nice to know what he wants / wanted. I'm not brave enough to as outright, and too impatient to poke around much further.

Yeah, I think its probably better to "not show up" as you say. It does sting, because I felt something... but with the situation as it is - uncertainty and distance - it's probably best to move on. Gosh, what a shame! Ha.

Correction: *ask outright, not "as outright".

Just an update:

I have since spoken with him. I reiterated the fact that our living situation doesn't lend itself to a relationship. And that for this reason, we should stop talking. I was not long winded, but he was even less so (simply gave an "ok"). So strange. So very strange. I guess his ego did take the hit.

The story book closes!

So far, not very easy to let this go. Keeping it going in this direction though.

At this point, I suppose it would be impossible to turn back now.

Just my honest advice, but if you've made the decision that you love your new place more than you love him, you've already made the decision in your heart to move on. Your mind and body just have to play catch up. This is independent of astrology, just common sense from experience.

And no matter how nice he is acting, deep down his ego will probably not recover from such a truth.

This is true.

You are right too, your living so far apart does make a relationship improbable.

Neither of you are willing/able/want to relocate.

There's really nothing left to say.
