Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides
Apparently I have a super cute and nice spirit guide, since he said that (I love you, Daniel! haha.)
Anyway, I'd be interested to hear others's views on this topic and if they've tried to contact their angel and guide, or know who they are! Oh, and their experiences.

Apparently we all have them. Mine don't speak to me. Can't say I blame them because until not long ago I ascribed such things to the World of the Crazy Lady With the 37 Cats.
Having had my eyes opened to Some Stuff (or rather, having been frogmarched to The Other Side🙂) I am open to the idea. I understand the guides being slightly miffed at me but being wise and forgiving chaps I am sure they will come around.
I've told them I would be more than happy to do Stuff for them if they think I have the ability to do the job, but they would need to help me tidy up some not so metaphysical matters in order for me to have the freedom to go that way.
They didn't reply.
So then I asked if they wanted me to hang around (things having got to the stage where I would rather pull the plug than continue) - I asked this as I was walking along a road. I turned the corner and there was a smashed up car with a rego tag starting with the letters YES.
Now that could be a complete co-incidence. Or the beat up car could represent me and they think it's worth continuing.
Who knows? But giving it a shot. What's another few days—

Yes, years ago, I had a very strange encounter....I was working for the Elections Department and we had tables set up at the Metro-Rail station, downtown Miami, where people could register and vote etc etc...
Well, an older woman came up to my table, she must have been anywhere between 75-80...a black woman, she was very petite and short,she was dressed very old fashioned and demure....I have never met this woman in my life, she looked at me and said, "you have angels all around you"...I was taken a back cus one, I never met this woman in my life and two, I was working, so I really didn't expect to hear something so random...I just looked at her and said "oh, thank you," I didn't know what else to say..I felt kinda stupid after she walked away, my response didn't really make any sense, to be honest....what else can you say...like, "oh really, what do they look like? and is it anyone I know?
I never saw her again...
That was my only story about Angels...
I had a similar experience recently as I was going to class and had a very bad day. As I walked through the door a man appeared. At the end of the hall. I had never seen him there before in my life. As he approached he looked at me and "it's all taken care of and you will have a very exciting day." When I left class, all of my problems had been resolved and I got very exciting news! They do exist.

I need someone to stand there and tell me. Being an Aries, subtle signs and hints don't really do it for me.
@Beautifulsoul, it would be interesting if that man was a living spirit guide for you. Though, more likely, is that he got the message from his spirit guide through either yours or your angel's and relayed it to you.
I would think living spirit guides would be pretty rare, though I'm not too sure on that.
@Aries, I'm not quite sure that it's your job to do things for them. I think it's more their job to help guide you, and that's it. I don't think they expect anything in return, or need it. Though, once again, I'm not an expert. Sometimes, it takes multiple attempts at meditation for you to even feel the slightest thing from them. Though...from what I'm understanding, it's easier to contact your angel than spirit guide. Such as, ask them to touch you, and if you feel something warm like a hug, that's their sign. It's not always their choice to withhold contact from you. You need to be in the right state of mind for the connection to be complete, too. They're not their to make you upset, and I'm sure they're trying their hardest, as well. It's interesting though, that you got a message like that, from them. That just shows they are there and they're listening. : )

A situation like those previously mentioned happened to my friend, also. She was working and a man came up and handed her a check for $ 100. He said that she's going to do great things as a nurse in the future. He didn't know her, nor did he know she was going to school for nursing.
I always think stories like that are really uplifting, especially coming from random strangers. It makes you believe in a lot of things you've lost hope in.

If I were ever fortunate to meet ppl like this, I'd stop & drop EVERYTHING, to ask more. You don't get messages like that everyday. I'm always seeking confirmation, that would have been the moment for me.

It may also be interesting to note that we supposedly get spirit guides that are similar to ourselves. I think that's kind of fun to think about.

My sister's cat was a reincarnation of my paternal grandpa who died before she was born. The cat showed up on my mom's back porch as a stray kitten for 3 days straight without being feed. My sister took it as a sign and adopted the cat. He stayed with her for 10 years until she was married with her first baby. Then, he moved out and adopted the family down the street. Lol. He had the same habits as my grandpa. No one could sit on his chair and he was very antisocial. lol.
I have a couple of Guardian Angels and Spirit guides. I have never seen them but, I can feel their presence. 🙂 Especially, since during the "shift".

It's a huge energy shift which has been going on for the past couple of years. We are collectively going to a higher Consciousness...some of us anyway. lol.
I'm not sure if this comment will be related to what you say, firewater, but I heard one psychic mention that this is our last life. Meaning, the souls that are alive now, won't get any more lives on earth, and we'll do that until all the souls have lived one last life, and then, I guess we'll all just party up in heaven or something. Haha. At least, that's what I interpreted from what she said. I'm not saying I believe that is true, but it is another strange thing I have heard, to go along with this 'shift' you're talking about. I can form a connection there, but I won't put it out in words, since I'm not sure on the topic at hand.

Bit of background I guess My mother is Danish with a very traditional Pagan roots which later she delved into Wicca and combined that with the teachings or Norse which she passed down to me. My dad is a mix of Chinese and indigenous Taiwanese and surprisingly the idea of the spirit realm marries together quite nicely, indigenous Taiwanese dealing more so with Shamanism.
My mum has always taught me how to channel energy or chi if you will, I never quite called it meditation myself but more zoning your essence to align with the spirit realm. As a kid I use to take it all for granted, all I remember is that she says I have an uncanny ability to commune with the spirits. Was a bit surprised about that but I'll explain later.
When my grandmother took custody she started teaching me the shamanistic ways, rituals are so similar you'd be surprised, a different chant, different take but overall it's still just trying to commune with the spirits. My grandmother didn't tell me this til I was a bit older but she said that I'm not only attuned to the spirit realm but I literally have the leg in the underworld. The teachings both suggest apart from our familiars / protectors, we ourselves are protected. In Paganism it is merely our essence, in ancient chinese context it's believed to be certain celestial fires. Basically the stronger the protection is the less likely you'll be influenced by the spirit realm and therefore not able to commune.
Being with my grandmother was a crazy, she use to take me to the mass graveyards and told me to play there :\ she said that I must learn to differentiate between harmful and peaceful spirits given my fires are so weak. I never knew what that meant as a kid until they both passed away. I think that was the first time I had a visual recognition of the underworld. And hey I was a skeptic as a kid but you can't explain away odd occurrences.
Throughout my life I seem to experience death first hand. If it was natural it feels peaceful, if it was an accident it feels turbulent. This is the sole reason why the Asian side of the family disowned me and view me as an outcast. My grandmother believes in a facilitator of death and before she passed away she promised me that it's not a negative thing. It's merely a balance of the two worlds.

Of course it's a bollocks or so I thought. Dad took me to the Buddhist temple to apparently exorcise this negative influence on me. The way their ritual worked was two monks would volunteer to be possessed by a high power and they form writings on sand as a way for the said higher power to communicate. It's a weird feeling, it feels like the soul was sucked out from them and they were truly neutral. If you ever get to witness this in person it's amazing they can stand and write for hours on end. Anyway, the gist is that this higher power told me I have no karmic balance, there's neither past nor future but only an ending.
I understand not wanting to believe in superstition but everything is just thrown against me from all different sources it's stupid because I really didn't want to believe in it as a kid.

The asgard realm (okay no Thor jokes) resides our guardian angels, you may think of them as deities but in Norse mythology they are the true meaning of a guardian angel. Through yggdrasil we are able to commune and that's how they protect us.

I guess you can call it meditation because it works exactly the same way. I'm just not sure... I can sense other familiars like my mum's for example but I've yet to find mine it alludes me! Just given my practice we do will and ask for our spirit guides or guardian angels to actively aid us or protect us but familiars are a companion that's meant to aid or protect us from spiritual realm. I can't help but relate it back to what my grandmother said.

So, from what I understand, we all have at least one guardian angel. If you're more accident prone, you might have more than one. Your guardian angel is one of the well known archangels, and while they each have the job of watching over you, each guardian angel has a specialization that is best for a certain individuals journey. I read one page online that said that 60% of the people she encountered had Michael as their angel, 25% Gabriel, 5% Raphael, and then the others were in a smaller percentage. You can contact your angel through meditation and dreams. If you keep a dream log, you may find messages in it. Also, it is believed that angels have totem animals, and that you're likely to meet this animal before you have a chance of meeting your angel.
Spirit guides....Almost everyone has at least one, sometimes people have more. I read that occasionally, people don't have one if it's not necessary for their journey. Spirit guides are people (and some say animals, too) that have lived at one point or are currently living. They can sometimes be past loved ones, though more often it seems that you don't know them. Their job is to guide you, also. It seems pretty common that people have Native American spirit guides, actually. Though, that's just what I've come across on one site.
I haven't been successful in communicating with my spirit guides, yet, though I did get a reading done today. The lady said my guardian angel was Raphael, who'se job is to bring love and healing to people, homes, places, etc. Apparently, he has saved my life many times and has given me messages in my dreams, before. I'm thankful for that, since I'm still so young, but have been close to encountering death many times, apparently. I'm not sure if that makes me accident prone, or if it's generally like that for everyone, where they save you mutliple times by my age. Thinking back on it, there was one particular instance where I fully believe I was saved. I should try to think back on other times. The lady also contacted my spirit guide. Apparently he said I had a tender soul that needs to be loved gently. His name is Daniel.
