SCARABS and Scarab Jewelry My mom has a scarab bracelet that my dad gave her back in the seventies-- she still wears it. I know scarabs held some significance to the ancient Egyptians or Sumerians, and it wasn't uncommon to find engravings on the underside of the stones-- what I'm curious about are the etchings on these stones. Most are inscribed with IX IXI... I'm familiar with IXI (or IXXI as Saturn)-- but I'm not familiar with the others: _\|/_ ... that's on the back of the lapis stone. The only thing that doesn't seem to be a reference to time. On the back of the jasper is III with a / through them- like one would count days maybe? Will post pics if that will help 🙂 Any ideas on meanings?
