I agree that many think it is nonsense...
but, I am not one who cares all that much about what general society thinks...

I have found many things in this world that have brought me closer to my spiritual self and it is not organized religion...but, more the things of old...
nature, philosophy, tarot and other types of fortune cards (Gong Hee Fot Choy is my favorite!)...and yes, astrology is amongst those things...as well as the Bible...
I also love my Angel books...

I do not think I should shut my mind to things that could better my existence on this Earth. I have passed through a lot of karmic lessons, and therefore, feel that I have lived many lives in this one...(it is work...and not fun...but, it is getting much better!) Margarete Ward taught me a lot through her fortune telling game!!
OK! I am odd! Now, you know! LOL!

Are you saying the Bible is part of the occult?

I find that the most confused people spiritually are those who completely try to separate their spirituality from being a human being on this Earth! Take a look at the Catholic Priests, for example!!

I have only worked on gaining knowledge of what is available within this world...it does not mean that I revere all of it...I barely understand the Tarot...but, I have tried it...
I am very close to a group of Catholic Nuns, although I myself am not of that religion. They are quite old and I find them to be very fascinating as well as open minded!!

"It was only ever there for a guide and ultimately we all must take responsibilty for our own lives. It all comes down to choices...and there is ALWAYS a choice. And with those choices comes consequences which we all must accept."

I do take responsibility for my life and I am happy with the choices I make and the consequences that occur because of those choices have helped make me who I am. I accept my consequences with open arms! I still say that if you must judge me without really knowing me...that is your choice.

Luz!! I don't think I will ever get the Tarot figured out! If by chance I do...I will let you know! Thank you for your open-mindedness though!

I think the Tarot is mysterious...but, it gets a 'bad rap'...people think it is evil or something. 'Course it doesn't help when a sniper uses a Tarot card to leave a message.

People can be evil. Not pieces of paper.

Star, lol...my post wasn't directed at you personally...silly. Of course, I don't know you and there are no judgements here. It was a general comment in an attempt to answer Suzy Q. Re-reading it, I can see how you would think that. I need to use paragraphs. Sorry about any stress caused.

The Bible was never in my considerations when posting a response.

What I mean by crutch is basically what Suzy said, people live their lives by it. Not implying that you do of course but my opinion stemmed from your post...while I agree what what you said there, it seemed to me that you place too much of a strong emphasis on the things you have when all they really are are tools. My comment was an opinion, perhaps bordering on judgement....but b/c I DON'T know you, your posts are all I have to go on, even though I know there is much more behind it. That was the only referrable part of my post directed to you...the rest was general comment.

Cheers.

Hey all...

This question has been on my mind since you raised it SusyQ and the answer is most definatley no...astrology does not make you brain dead nor is is a load of Bull but let me say this...

Man's knowledge is imperfect so astrology as we know it is based in imperfect knowledge....!!!

As you know I have realised something of late and that realisation opens many more doors and avenues to explore because part and parcel of my realisation is that everything that exists on the physical plane...EVERYTHING PHYSICAL...can be explained once "full physical knowledge" of that thing and or process is learned.

SusyQ...remember our magic vs miracles topic...well this ties in nicely with that. Magic and miracles are only facinating and unworldly to those who do not know the secrets to the processes behind them...as soon as we learn how to perform these processes (masked as miracles or magic through ignorance of their process) they are no longer these miracles or magical mysterious "tricks"...they are merely a process.

Anything physical may be defined...that's what it is by it's very nature...it's physical.

Think of the many cycles of life that we know a lot about here on planet earth and how they are interlinked...the seasons...migration of animals...night and day and millions more.

Jesus said...as it is above so it is below and these little cycles of life and death on earth are all part of the earth's existance, working and life.

Now extend that thought pattern to the cosmos. The cosmos is physically real and has many cycles...these cycles are a constant and hence can be measured. While our human ideas of them might be purely speculation (due to our imperfect knowledge) I know there are reasons for these cycles of the planets because I know through my realisation that the Spirit world controls the physical world to sustain life as a whole...ie.
antimaterial and material need to coexist in order that they are what they are and to sustain life as a whole.

In the same way you can't have light without dark, wet without dry...as it is that you can't have the Spirit world without the physical world...

Never believe that something has no purpose. Never believe that what you can't see is not real. All you need believe is that God is the reason...God is answer...God is the almighty everything...!!!

Love and light to you all and always...
Durrie.

Cortica,
I cannot retrieve the story...so this may not be exact...

The sniper who shot the 13 year old boy left the Death tarot card behind, with the writing "Policeman, I am God" on it.

So, the tarot reading would have to be in person? Hmmm, I thought so...

The Death card doesn't always mean something bad though...right? I thought it could mean change...like the 'death of the old to make room for the new' kind of thing (??)

Well if the cops are doing their job, they would realise that this sniper is not a child of the tarot. The Death card signifies new begginings and the end of an old phase. It is a positive card that does not signify death in the physical form.

So my guess is that the sniper has got the cards (probably pinched them) from a friend who hasn't used them in a while. Perhaps the cops should be asking the public to check their deckes to see if any cards are missing, and then give them a list of their friends names.
