I really dont like it when guys sweet talk you, i feel all icky and uncomfortable, i like a man who aproaches me with confidence but not with all that sweet talk, i dont know, i like a man who shows me that hes interested but doesnt really tell it. Kinda weird neh? It just keeps me guessing and wanting to figure him out. o_O well anyway, what about you?? What do you like in a man or better yet, do you like guys when they sweet talk you? 🙂

Ah, good post Luz.

Yeah I actually prefer a more mysterious man also. I don't really like sugary-sweet diatribes about candles and soft music and silk sheets--I like him to be more hard to get at first. I think too much talking can ruin things a lot of times. I like romance, but I've noticed that when a guy goes OVERBOARD in the romance dept., he sometimes lacks that certain aggression that I like. I like a "manly" man I guess is what I'm saying. lol.

Well, as you know, i dont like guys, at least not in that way!!! Ive got to say, i cant stand sweet talk either; i feel like im being conned. I get insulted when i think they think i am so easy to get that i will fall for their 'charm'! I think my pet hate is being taken for a fool!

I like people who are polar opposites in one. I like someone who appears feminine on the outside but is really tough underneath or vice versa.

Its really strange but that's the way it is.

I agree with Phoenix, good topic luz 😉 You've got me thinking about this now, everytime i speak to someone i will be thinking, are they sweet talking me?

Just thought id add, if a guy tried to sweet talk me, i would get suspicious straight away.

Btw, what's it like out there? Is it hard to meet decent guys? Do you guys have the same problems i have?

You totally make sense with your polar-opposites-in-one attraction thing Libragirl--I suspect it's your Libran need to feel balance in your environment and the people around you. I understand that.

"Btw, what's it like out there? Is it hard to meet decent guys? Do you guys have the same problems i have?"

Hard as hell, hell yes it's hard to meet decent guys, and I'll put a thousand dollars on it that you and I and all of us share the same probs! lol. Gosh, sometimes I really wonder if it's worth all this crap. People are so phony nowadays and you never know who the hell you're dealing with and the question isn't usually "will" he screw me over, it's "when" will he screw me over?...as you can see my nerves are a little frayed with the recent goings on. Libragirl, I must say I am suprised that women do that (sweet-talk); I really thought that was a slimey characteristic belonging solely to men! It is quite irritating isn't it! And I agree, it's insulting on a certain level, definitely.

Sorry about saying "he" all the time Libragirl; it is habit I guess but I just noticed how pigheaded that makes me look when I'm sitting here talking to someone to whom "he" doesn't apply...I mean no offense, just an apology in advance in case that does offend you : )

I met a guy once-Leo!-that was all over me with compliments, praises and hymnes(is that the correct plural form?) for my wonderful being.
When he noticed that I didn't fall for that nor appreciated it-he had a twinkle in the eyes and said how happy he was for meeting a woman whom he liked that also had brains and aho could carry a conversation.Btw,he is 50 and looking gorgeous!
Which brings me to a question for you guys:what do you think about a relationship with an older man?

I think relationships with anyone is a good thing. Some people know how to have a relationship and some don't. So, if you have one....go for it. You will no doubt learn something about yourself and life.

I have an older male friend who is 55 and as he gets older he acts younger. He is a lot of fun and I do enjoy being with him. It isn't that often and it is getting less and less. Why? got me. Just is.

What isn't that often and is getting less and less? I am not trying to be smart; I don't understand what you mean.

55 isn't old; that is perfect! That is when you know a few things, but you can still hang! Ya know what I mean?? Old is a state of mind. My pops is in his 70's and he still acts like a kid and my mom too!

Hi wonderbox...sorry about the above post. what I meant was that we are seeing less and less of each other. IT used to bother me and now I have realized that sometimes we learn all that we can in a certain relationship and then it changes. Sorry about the misunderstanding, I must have too much foil on my head and the interferrance is causing some miscommunication.

I see, ah, well, maybe you can call him and see how he is or shoot him an e-mail if possible. Maybe something is wrong with him or he is ill. It might be a good idea to look him up?!!!

No on the foil and interference. I just go too fast and don't read things correctly!!

Hey Phoenix,
No probs about the "he" thing, I'm not that anal! I understand i am in a world where hetersexuality is the norm and i respect that. I love hearing about what people have to say, whatever it may be, why should you have to censore yourself? Just be yourself, go for it, its all good to me ...

Oh you have to be kidding?!! I adore a man that knows how to talk to a lady. I don't like anyone overdoing but I appreciate a nice compliment. Send them my way ladies if you can't handle it! I think it is nice.

I have to agree with Your Mother. What is wrong with receiving compliments— I think it is nice and shows that they are paying attention. Like if they were to tell you you smelled good/nice perfume or nice dress or whatever?? As long as it is sincere and not fake. I also like sentimental and mushy men. I could just love them to pieces!!! What is wrong with tenderness and plenty of hugs and kisses—!!!

Alot of men dont compliment just to compliment or be nice alot of them like to do it so that they can get under ur clothes, trust me I have been there, and alot of time, women are so stupid that they fall for it.

Yes, but you can't fool a Scorpio chic can you!!! And no one has been able to fool me, not lately! I wouldn't let him under my clothes anyway unless I was in a committed relationship!

Yes,scorpio woman is so right-unfortunately-the sincere-complimenting-men breed is an endagered specie! You cannot wonder what is their alternative motive about being so nice to you,in this cold and friendy world!
