It just means be mindful of death ...

Few better ways to invoke a sense of urgency.

Posted by Vixen2What if I told you that True Life can be found in the loneliest of places, in this life?Posted by MrFirebirdI've dealt with it a thousand times MFB...it's not an easy thing, even when you aren't close to the person...your healthy sympathy...can put yourself in someone else shoes...
Whether you like it or not. Sooner or later, whether personally or impersonally
and like everyone else, you WILL have to deal with it.
But then it happens to you...you lose someone and your world ends. You can be a positive and spiritual person, maybe even be relieved the person isnt suffering any longer...but the more you love someone, the more unbearable the pain is. It all comes in waves and sometimes the seas are debilitating. It does get easier to deal with it...it is a fact of life, but we are so busy living it sometimes that we forget that we are not invinceable. We see it, hear it and read about it daily...almost to the point of being desensitized to it. But when it's your loved it, it changes you...you see things differently, maybe your priorities and goals change. It can be a good thing for others...but for others, they can't get back up from the loss. Surrounding yourself or surrounding someone who has lost someone with just a smile, kind word or just a silent hug...can be a huge comfort.

No shit

Posted by Vixen2For you to be able to hear, you must tune out the loudness of the proud, in this world. True Life is quite calm and still, gentle, quiet, meek, humble and pure. So often, overlooked,Posted by MrFirebirdI would be happy to listen...Posted by Vixen2What if I told you that True Life can be found in the loneliest of places, in this life?Posted by MrFirebirdI've dealt with it a thousand times MFB...it's not an easy thing, even when you aren't close to the person...your healthy sympathy...can put yourself in someone else shoes...

Posted by MoonArtistPerhaps something you were taught when you were little.
I've never understood the fear of death. I still don't, and I've never feared it.

Posted by MrFirebirdNo, My parents have the normal human fear of mortality. I think part of it is because I've always known that life and death are intertwined, that death isn't the end of all. Also, I've always had memories from some of my past lives, so I've always known this is just one experience in hundreds, thousands, maybe millions, for me.Posted by MoonArtistPerhaps something you were taught when you were little.
