Most recent film i see was one she did with Kathy Bates- I can't remember the name. It was such a try hard comedy- wasn't funny. Nothing she has done has been funny imo.
I think her popularity is mostly due to her size, and this whole "weight acceptance" movement. That's my only justification on how she manages to get work. /shrug

Go ahead and google Melissa McCarthy. I can assure you the majority of the articles are all in reference to either her weight gain or her weight loss. That's how she manages to stay relevant.
The same would apply for Kristie Ally. She hasn't done anything decent since the 80's and early 90's, yet she is apart of popular culture today due to her weight- in forms of reality shows and endorsements.
I understand that all people come in different shapes and sizes. I'm simply stating that i feel her popularity is due more to her shape than raw talent. Like Pam Anderson.

Think of it this way....to you, you believe that when you're an asshole that you have "good reason" to be. Well to her, in that moment, she felt that she had a good reason as well. She was not aware that the man was using his phone to read questions. She thought he was being unprofessional and so she corrected him. To me, that's justified on her part. Also, foreign or not, there's no excuse as to why he didn't know what award show he was interviewing at. That is unprofessional.

Yes she is famous, but she is a human being first and foremost. This is why celebrities often fall into deep depressions and/or do drugs. People are so unfair towards celebrities. Just because they're rich doesn't mean that they still don't have feelings. They are still people and they are entitled to make mistakes and yes, even be "assholes" sometimes. The moment a celebrity even sneezes incorrectly the tabloids go bonkers trying to destroy their image and people are quick to jump on the bandwagon. Overall, Jennifer Lawrence is always respectful. This isn't something she does on a regular basis. So to quickly jump on her and attack her for it is foolish to me. Most of the people who have something negative to say about it are far from perfect themselves. I just feel its hypocritical and unfair to decide she's unlikable based off of one situation.

Pft, from an old world outsider, seeing both americans and canadians as something foreign to me, and watching both is enough to see a plethora of similarities and very few differences in lifestyle, upbringing, and behavior.
I wouldn't be able to see it as a usa native.
