Just for the sake of discussion, let's assume the diameter of

Pluto = 2296
Neptune = 49620
Uranus = 51152
Saturn = 120034
Jupiter = 142740
Mars = 6788
Venus = 12104
Mercury = 4880
Sun = 1377648
Moon = 3476

So, if the largest solar body in the image is 600 times larger than the smallest, what does that tell you?

It tells me that number should be 625:1 instead of 600:1
click to expand

1377648 / 2296 = 600.02

I did say it was sort of a trick question...

God damn it I should've kept to my line originally. Can I saw what I think threw all of us out? Was the fact that or maybe it was just me... that ALL of them had to have something similar to Angelina Jolie. So I started looking at Their charts after wading through bullshit about their birth like birth defects LOL.

I noticed each one of them had something similar but that in itself wasn't connecting them, until the ratio. But then the ratio just threw me off even further until that picture came up. Then I was like fuck Affleck and Jolie must share a generation planet, that being pluto which is the smallest... fucking wikipedia planets by size and it all made sense...

Also that 1:1 kinda threw me off too because for the longest time I was thinking Affleck was 1:1 with her. Then I kept counting in Jolie as part of the 10 but not counting the sun and yada yada yada.

haha I guess it's like begging something to be more difficult then it is. When you said there were 10 of these ratios, thinking it against astrology I was thinking... wait... can't be that simple right? planets in our solar system... it's just all complicating one thing with another, thinking earth is involved somehow then rejecting the idea that it's astrology related.

Retarded brains can be retarded!

I still need to read the debate and announce the winner. I thought I was going to do that last night/today, but I ended up giving clues the whole time. 😛

I'll post the winner of the debate and call for a vote within the next 24 hours. I'll try to post the winner tonight, but no promises. After the votes are in, it will be time for the next debate. I'm aiming for a fun one, but I haven't decided what it will be yet, so we'll see what I come up with.

Each of the following individuals has something in common with Angelina Jolie. Although there are many things you could find each of these has in common with her, there is only one that they, as a group, share in common; understanding this is essential to correctly answering the challenge. And yes, this is sort of a trick question.

The first player to correctly identify what each has in common with her will win 7 points and immunity from the vote that will occur after I post the winner of the debate. If no one is entirely correct, whoever is most correct will be declared the winner of the challenge and receive the points. The challenge will end 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds after the time stamp on this post unless someone correctly answers it earlier. Good luck!

Al Pacino
Ben Affleck
Clint Eastwood
Daniel Craig
Edward Norton
Johnny Depp
Leonardo DiCaprio
Michael Douglas
Russell Crowe
Tom Cruise

After my comment about that what they have in common they always had and always would have in common plus the 10 names/ratios I figured someone would pick up on the fact that they were all astrological placements and that the rest would fall into place rather quickly. I swear I really wasn't trying to torture you!

YOU should have said they all have at least one thing in common in with her.... not that they all share that commonality...

I realize what could be argued is they share the commonality of have similar astrological placements but.. saying they share makes it sound like literally they all have the same situation... same placement... same w/e their was no way to know that it was possible to for it to be what does each individual have in common with her separately.

NYAA:

It would appear at first glance that morality does facilitate our living together in some form of cohesive society, but is it really morality that does this?

Regardless of how rarely it is utilised, what is the moral justification for the death penalty? How does its threat/imposition really make it easier for us to live together?

You say that stealing is wrong, but what if it was a hungry homeless man stealing food. Would you still consider his action immoral? Why/why not?

You say that slavery is intrinsically immoral, but is there really so much difference between this and your relationship with the tax collector? How do you defend the morality of the money you have worked hard to earn being taken by your master (tax collector) to be spent on things of which you may or may not approve? Sure, you can argue you have a vote, but it's a very small one and, for all intents and purposes, irrelevant. If a slave disobeyed orders, s/he was beaten; if you refuse to pay your taxes, you're imprisoned.

Speaking of communism??_why has it always failed? You touched on the answer, but you didn't take it all the way to the conclusion.

Dimplez:

I wonder??_must morality necessarily stop/hinder free thinking? Recorded history certainly demonstrates that it has, but must it?

I wonder, do you think more harm has been done to mankind by religion or by disease? What is religion, really? Some might argue it is the code by which they choose to live their life, but when that code says that everyone who thinks differently from you is doomed to burn in hell for eternity or must be exterminated, what does that say about your chosen belief system? Isn't there an inherent and inescapable ideological flaw in that belief that neuters the very basis of the Faith itself?

You say that history demonstrates that morality is mutable, but is it really? Or have people just gone along with the crowd for the sake of getting along, much like those who believed in the innocence of the witches held their tongues? If they are just going along, are they acting immorally? Do we each have a moral obligation to speak up against those things we see as immoral in the world? Are we acting immorally if we remain silent?

Speaking of the Salem Witch Trials, given that the individuals encouraging/carrying out the executions of the witches (at least theoretically) believed themselves to be acting morally, was their belief in the morality of their actions validating thereof? Or is killing people whom you genuinely believe to be evil an immoral act regardless of your belief? What implication does the answer to question have on the issue of the death penalty?

and if my examples didnt make any ounce of sense, then i didnt understand the fucking question. stop using big ass words and start putting things in lamen terms. damn earth signs ...got me busting out my dictionary and shit. bah- humbug!

XYZ:

You suggest that the deprivation of freedom causes people to act immorally, but what if it was the removal of their freedom that was the immoral act? Is it possible for both the deprived and depriver to be moral? Or immoral, for that matter?

You suggest that the choices we make are primarily motivated by the desire to improve things for ourselves, but examples of individuals making choices that are against their best interests and which are clearly self-sacrificing abound. This would appear to effectively neuter you argument.

The reason you don't see the fireworks and insults you??re looking for in this thread is because the people here are having a rational discussion that is uncorrupted by emotionality, save calling attention to the occasional immoral harlot (lol @ that!) here and here.

You suggest that it is immoral to purchase clothing manufactured by individuals who are underpaid. Who determines if they are under or over paid? Unless they were compelled under some form of active threat, did they not voluntarily accept the job? Doesn't their acceptance thereof necessarily indicate that they found it to pay adequately?

Is it appropriate for the physician to receive the same income as the janitor? Please defend your position.

You have mentioned guilt and compensation on several occasions, but you??ve never provided a clear explanation of the role these play in morality. Please explain.

Why is skinny dipping immoral? For that matter, why is subjectivity immoral? To argue that subjectivity is immoral is to necessarily argue that the only way to be moral is to be an absolutist. Your defense of this should prove very interesting.
