PLEASE tell me he's going to Physical Therapy or will be.

Actually, part of our coverage in terms of 'topics' is safe and manageable sexual activity. We cover that topic as body mechanics, goals, and safety precautions. Hell, if I ever have a serious injury - I'd be bugging my PT asking when I could ride cowgirl again!!

If he's uncomfortable with discussing it himself or whatnot - go with him to the doctors or PT if he's seeing one. Part of healthcare includes sexual activity, and it's definitely a conversation that people should feel comfortable bringing up to their doctors.

I'm going to look through some of my Kinesiology and Patient Rehabilitation books and I'll see if I find anything.

All else fails, you may have to work it as mutual mast/oral until full healing. Ugh, hope not for your sake. 😢

well he just got out of the hospital Saturday, i was at work when i wrote this because i was thinking he will be in a cast for three to five months. how are we going to get some action with that thing on. he wont be doing physical therapy for a while.

i didnt want to bring it up to him so soon because that would appear selfish and insensitive. i know he is still in pain and we probably wont be intimate like that for a while.

i was just thinking ahead..my normal aqua way, preparing, planning, etc.

we already have one rule, i cant get dressed in the bed room 😢 LOL i have to get dressed in the closet.
and i have to cut down on the affection for now 😢. i miss it already, but i can deal.

thank you for any info you can find and share, its much appreciated. 🙂

He probably wont feel anything while in the heat of the moment. Stock up some pain medication and ride that mummy legged libra. Or u can both do the 69 position to satisfy both your needs at once- u dont need a leg to do that, lol. Tell him not to get too excited though

lol thats true, i thought about this, its in the top five on my list. lol @mummy legged libra 🙂

What were the ideas that you had in mind?

well i was thinking,
1. we both go solo
2. oral
3. standing up, dont know how he can or if he cant balance that though.

he has pins in his legs so i cant put my weight on him at all.

Where did he break it/get the pins put in?

Do that crouching position...? You wouldn't have any weight on him since you're sort of kneeling.

Kinda like what she's doing here- http://www.sexinfo101.com/sp_amazon.shtml (obviously, he won't be positioned like that)

By the way, that site is a good resource for other positions too. It may give you some ideas.

i dont know where the pins are exactly, we have some paperwork with a drawing that tells us the exact locations, i will have to look at that.
thanks for the suggestion 🙂

I meant the location of the break. Femur? Tibia? Fibula?

You know how everyone has that *one* thing that they're absolutely squeamish about?

Mine is any femur breaks, ugh -shudders- . What kind of breaks did he acquire?

And to think I was grouchy when I pulled my TrA and sex was uncomfortable. Geesh.

How old is he? (you don't need to answer that or give specifics btw - just wondering for physiological sake). I've never broken a bone, despite being a wannabe Evel Knievel growing up.. though I obsessively drank milk before I became ill from dairy.

Goddamn, that's really really really really intense. Really really.

ladies, he wanted to know, if he is going to have any knee problems after he is healed. because his knee was really beat up and swollen. and any recommendations for keeping his weight down. they gave us a lot of literature on it, but its all vague. he would ask the doctor but we dont see him for a few weeks. like calories, foods that would help the healing process, etc. he is 34 and 6'4" tall.

Why are those darn libra men always tall? I swear they wouldnt be so hot if they were 4ft tall like most pisces men. He sounds yummy, chem. Tell him we will love him even if he developed love handles. Personally, i think milk or dairy products would help, calcium and all that. I broke one too years ago, i mentioned it somewhere and they game me a lot of milky things.

Just keep in mind to eat a balanced meal and definitely up calcium intake. As far as weight gain goes, as long as he doesn't splurge on fatty foods and super high carb foods, he should be okay. Veggies will definitely be his friend.

http://www.livestrong.com/article/254419-foods-that-help-heal-broken-bones/<BR>
As far as his knee goes, it depends on if he did any damage to the actual ligaments involved. If it just got bruised, then his knee should be fine. But if ligaments were torn, then his knee has a ways to go as well (6-8 weeks).

He should be concerned more about the femur considering it will take quite awhile to heal. I had a friend who fractured hers in a car accident. Required pins and screws. On cold days, she still has achiness at times. But it took some time to lose the limp and get strong again.

Average is 6 months (though I wouldn't be surprised if it took up to a year to feel fully normal) and ALWAYS GO TO PT. That is SO important in how fast and well he'll recover. Don't let him be a typical guy and wuss out and shrug off PT because it's too hard. Go to PT religiously and work on the exercises that they give you to do at home.

FUCK YEAH REHABILITATION~

Ugh, I loved my outpatient orthopedic clinic. Usually we make that fun. 100% commitment is honestly the only way to come back to base level. And if the patient is compliant they usually walk out way stronger than before their accident. Once he's less acute injury, message me with any questions you haven't been able to ask someone. Of course no 'prescriptive' advice but since I'm a student for PT general patient education is ethical (:

Make sure he takes a vitamin D pill, or the calcium vitamin contains vitamin D. Calcium absorbs WITH vitamin D. Take all the calcium in the world but without vitamin D, you're fucked.

I'd be nervous as HELL about blood clots. They have spoken to you guys about that - right?

You're probably better off taking the calcium supplements that already come with D in them. You could be risking taking TOO much vitamin D if you do it separately (the doses are different). Don't forget that he's already getting it from food as well. There is also a such thing as TOO much vitamin D and calcium. You may want to do some research or talk to an RD about the situation before going all gung ho on supplements. They're good, but can easily go wrong if you over do it on these guys. C and B are the ones you can be a bit more liberal with since they're harder to get poisoned from.

+1!

B spectrum vitamins are good for circulation, too. (:

Falling off a cliff while hiking - with those injuries he must have been in agony for how long? It's not like an ambulance scooped him up and off to the hospital in 10 minutes.

Libra Men sure are built tough. 🙂 I'm kind of curious how he got out after his fall.

had to ask his dad.🙂 Libra was on top of a moss covered rock for a good 15 minutes. onlookers were calling into the rangers station when they heard him screaming. then some saw him falling. the helicopter came within 5 minutes after his dad called, they explained other campers were calling, before he did. it was good response time. 🙂

he was in pain for atleast 25-30 minutes total, before the emergency room.
