Oh God, I edited so much out of this post. I meant to say I'm actually very plain with boring wavy hair and an almost uni-brow monstrosity that I have to keep in check.
😄
lol😛 I think it's the Virgo in me that deeply dislikes insincere people. Errrrbody else in the zodiac wants fake compliments.

iced, if that's you in your pics, you are *NOT* I repeat NOT a plain Jane!Secondly, I came to terms with this in grade 12, which is when I learned the value of a curling iron, eyeliner and tight clothing. Served me well ever since🙂
Awww thanks😄 but yes I am😛 I learnt when I was 14, wore a short skirt and my classmates were all "you look really good" - bloody hell =/
Maybe girls are different in the UK, they actually like me more if I'm dressed up. They're worse than the guys lol😄😛
I'm not ashamed to say I got a whole bunch of free stuff today...well okay not a WHOLE bunch, but a few kinda souls were happy to throw some cash my way in the school cafe. Which is handy as I'm broke

I've noticed that in the US too. If you dress well, women and men react well to you. Esp. in shops or when you are getting service. Or even to get someone to open the freaking door for you. You don't even have to look hot, just well dressed. When I wear my ripped jeans and faded jeans I am almost always ignored and when I have my hair neatly done wear a sweater dress and boots I have all these showgirls fawning around.
Depends where the rips are and if you are rocking them.
I don't think it is just the fact that she was dressed up. She presented herself differently, more assured of herself, flirty and persistent when dressed up. So, I chalk it up to attitude not appearance per se (not saying that men would approach her more readily while dressed up, but that is not what she was 'testing').
I find that I am treated the same dressed up or not, but I present myself the same (although I'm pretty much a plain Jane anyway and don't flaunt myself whether going all out or not *shrugs*).
As a side note, I could never ask anyone for anything free - that would be akin to using someone!
Mmm, the "fake ass compliment" statement is a bit....?
I'm sure there's loads of girls out there who would love a nice compliment from a guy but don't get one.
Very true.
They forgot to show how you get stalked and have all kinds of unwanted attention from being attractive. Also while I agree you will get more attention from being dressed up vs looking one step away from homeless. The plain girl also kept throwing out the the word free from the start while the hot version worked up to it and half the time didn't even use that word which I think also made a difference in how much stuff she ended up with.
Sex Sells it always will.
As a confident man, I tried the 'free ride on the bus trick' and the passengers all gave me money
to stay off the bus.
I don't think the free drink scene, was a true representation of what would happen is that situation. In the real world if she asked some guy for a drink, is first thought would be I might been in with a chance here, then if she just left after taking the drink. I think the bloke would of felt he was just beening used and in turn go nuts lol. Besides the camera was not hidden very well from the naked eye. If its real then good luck to her.
lol I thought the free drink scene wasn't a true representation cuz in the real world we don't have to ask for a drink the guy usually has it sent over or asks you what your drinking. I bet if she went in there without saying a word she still would not have left empty handed.
I notice this alot too, I really hate attention like that though and will sometimes dress down because of it, Im from the US and people are really shallow in my opinion. They also think im shallow because of my looks and the way I dress, I have a thing for fashion. Im the farthest from Shallow and I can't stand fake and insincere people. I can be both plain jane and a hot girl when I want to, depends on my mood, I have several different looks. Im curious to know what guys prefer

It always amazes me the way people treat me when I make a *tiny* effort in my appearance. All I have to do is straighten my hair, fix my brows, put on a fitted top and the world is mine...😛 I am not joking =/
On the one side it's nice cause all of a sudden the world suddenly loves me😛 but obviously it's not genuine/sincere. And I don't want to be friends or date people who are only interested in me for what's on the outside. I find the whole thing sad, which is why I prefer plain jane and be surrounded by people who love me for me - and not to just boost their fragile egos. It's nerdy me or gtfo😛
Anyway this video really makes you think =/
Oddly, all my friends are the —hot?? girl, and I'm the only tomboy left. It used to be me, the gem and the aries, but they??ve since jumped ship *sigh* anywayyyy.. I've had a long day of being puuurty and I need to recover from all the fake ass compliments.
SO, if you had a choice, would you rather make an effort and be treated nicely by everyone or be average?
