I actually have some bed sheets that look close to that fabric, but not taffeta tho

I don't know about that dress (Lol), but well-made clothing is often expensive, and you get what you pay for.

There are off the rack dress shirts that retail for $ 600 and upwards apiece, and even after years and years of wear and tear they'll still look and feel like new, provided they've been treated with a modicum of care. The stitching will remain precise and taut, and the folds will remain crisp and without any wear or fading.

Sometimes clothing that looks a bit on the ordinary side at first blush will reveal itself to be very well made on closer inspection.

For all that moolah I hope the dress will last a few wearings 😛 Looking at that vid it seems the tailor was using plenty of lining and piping or whatever, I wonder if they will guarantee a refit of any loose threads tho

I wonder how much that sparkly black jacket the catwalk model had over the dress costs. may as well get the whole look 🙂
