Of Layne Staley Lead singer of Alice in Chains and Kurt Cobain lead singer of Nirvana. Layne Staley, A Virgo born August 22nd, 1967-April 5th, 2002. He's been dead 13 years now. He apparently struggled with depression and drug addiction most of his life, died of an overdose April 5th, 2002 from a mixture of cocaine and heroin in his system. He will be dearly missed along with the legacy he left on music during his time in Alice in Chains. And Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana, died from a self inflicted gunshot wound April 5th, 1994. His legacy is remembered well too, a pioneer in his music genre and a spokeperson for Generation X and partially for Y but my generation kinda sucks ass and has no ability to make way on their own or know the meaning of respect too well (I'm probably criticizing myself too but fuck it) I admire the previous generations better than my own so that's that. No one will truly ever know why Kurt Cobain killed himself but these too will be forever missed. Gone but never forgotten.

Ehh... not really.

He was a 12th House LEO @ 28?? with a Pisces Moon.

I was reading another thread on him, yesterday...

they were looking at transits for April 5, 2002.

Nothing I saw really, but didn't spend too much

time on it.

And yes-- it was a tragedy.

It always is when someone dies long before they should.

Hell to the yes, dude~

These two are my drugs, I listen to their music daily and I worship their beauty, they are broken souls but had such beautiful hearts.

But I always liked Kurt's music a little more, I thought AiC was too heavy as a youngster, Nirvana somehow touched my spirit the first time I heard it, made me feel so serene.

I think I know (by heart) everything they did before '93

(after that, it kind of sucked)-- but 'serene' is never

a word I would use to describe how their music made me feel.
