I'm finding them really interesting to research because they are very primitive and that they've been documented in the bible ages ago so we've known about them for a really long time but they still seem to be a problem even today for some of us.....some of us reject the sin, some just give into it, some deny any affiliation but relish in it behind closed doors...I think to some degree they lie at the heart of what makes us human and maybe accepting that we can begin to grow from them like a lesson learnt perhaps......I think it all boils down to shame, shame is connected to the sins and makes us care about how others perceive us.

so lets all share which of the 7DS we feel ashamed to feel and why we feel that way.....maybe in the hopes of liberating ourselves...

Lust

Gluttony

Greed

Sloth

Wrath

Envy

Out of all the ones I hate feeling would have to be envy lol, I deny that I feel envy and it makes me very embarrassed if someone finds out that I'm envious of other people....having said that I am quick to recognise when someone is envious of me haha..

My Taurus moon makes me prone to sloth and if I'm honest I can't help myself.

I know I'm being a lazy moo bag but unless I'm forced to get on with certain things I will procrastinate like it's my profession! I hate myself for it, but if left to my own devises it's what i do lol

Recently, reading about the seven deadly sins made me aware of a common misconception--

Envy is to desire something that another possesses.
Jealousy is worrying someone else will take/get something that you already have.

W O W

How did I not realize that $ #!T sooner?!

Also Envy isn't as bad as they say because it can be a good motivator. As long as you don't steal, it can motivate you to work for your own stuff. Jealousy aint as bad as they say because it just means you care.

there's two types of envy - benign and malicious

I'm quite competitive and I hate losing, I'm a bit of a bad loser hahaha.....It all stems from low self esteem......If I see someone doing well in life it pretty much reminds me of how bad I'm doing so I want them to fail so we can be shit together pretty much....Or I want to out do and undo them....And once I obtain what they have I don't want it anymore.

Envy isn't necessarily the worst sin but it definitely is capable of making you feel rotten inside.....Its a double negative, you feel shit about yourself because you feel incompetent but you also count on people to fail so you don't look like such a loser...

Its really embarrassing and ugly.
